Taehyung lets out one long exhausted sigh as he sets his brown duffel bag on his dining table, yawning as he turns to Jungkook at the door. Jungkook does not move as he looks straight at the opened sliding door to Taehyung's patio, his doe eyes big and curious but with a hint of amusement."What's wrong?"
"The lecturer got the corner room", he points towards the patio.
Taehyung's head snaps towards his own patio, and then he sees it. The corner room of Madam Cha's inn, the one he can see directly from his house, is no longer vacant.
Taehyung's modern-style one-story house is opposite of Madam Cha's very old inn. His patio opens to the corner of the road, and faces the small patio of the corner room of the inn. Since the village is relatively not that huge, the small road that separates the two buildings are not that wide like the usual main road.
That means, he can actually see the person that is now standing in front of the closed sliding door, her hand on the handle before she slides it open.
Taehyung watches as the glass door slides open and the slow wind from the nearby beach blows through the space, flapping the thin white curtains around her. He hears her faint grunts, almost, almost, wanting to laugh when Seori struggles to tie the curtains in place.
"Looks like you have a neighbor now", Jungkook whistles behind him. "What do you have against Park Seori anyway?"
Taehyung frowns as he marches towards his patio and slides the door closed, and pulls the curtain.
"I never liked city people"
"I am well aware of that", Jungkook sighs.
"And now she's staying across the street?"
"That's what you get for lashing out on her without any reason", Jungkook chuckles loudly, his shoulders shaking as he watches Taehyung looking like he wants to murder him right there. "I stand my ground, Kim Taehyung. Do not be too arrogant and mean towards the students"
"Get out, Jungkook"
"And towards Miss Park Seori", he adds firmly. "She looks nice"
"She is from the city", Taehyung ignores the look on Jungkook's face, proceeding to unpack his stuff. "All of them are arrogant and snobbish"
"Can you- Nevermind. No point anyway", he raises his palms. "I am going now. I need to check on the cafe for new stocks. Call me if you need anything"
Taehyung just hums a reply, focusing on arranging his things on the table. When he hears his door clicks close, he lets out a long grunt and presses his palms onto the edge of the wooden table. He looks over his shoulder, staring at his close curtains before grunting again.
"Just great"
An hour later, fresh out of shower and changed into clean clothes, Taehyung sits at his dining table, his laptop opened and connected to his bluetooth speaker that is now playing his favorite jazz album. This has been his routine for so many years. He would spend the entire day at his farm, taking quick breaks at the small resting house he built many years ago and then goes to Jungkook's cafe for an early dinner and they both would hangout till sun sets.
He would then go home, clean his house, shower and then sit at the dining table, listening to his jazz albums as he plays around with his laptop. A peaceful routine he loves so much and knowing how his day will go about has brought so much certainty to his life.
