My body felt heavy as I set up in bed, I looked over at the empty spot, my heavy heart longed for Chaz. My emotions were stronger then before. They were all over the place. I didn't know what to feel, or what emotion to act on. I pulled my pillow to my chest and hugged it tight, I want to go back and change everything. Tell him what he meant to me, maybe he would still be around.

(Flashback)

"I'm sorry, but do I know you?" He asked me. I looked at him. How did he not recognize me? I'm his sister, we look so much a like. I felt my heart break into tiny pieces, tears filling in my eyes, I knew I only had so much time before I exploded. "You don't know who I am?" I managed to ask. "No, you look oddly familiar but I don't know who you are. I'm sorry," He sighed. "I have to go," I choked. He nodded and shut his front door.

"Hello, sir, how can I help you I asked?" I did my best all night at work to fake a happy attitude, I was hoping people were buying it just like all the lottery tickets I had been selling. "Three plays on the powerball," he said flatly. I just smiled at him and went over to print off his ticket. "Hope it's a winner sir," I smiled at him after we finished our transaction. "If it is I'll buy you a new car," he joked and then left.

"Another old creep offering to buy you a car?" Jesse asked as he came back from his dinner break. "Yeah, that makes three tonight," I laughed. "He's walking around the store," Jesse pointed out Hudson as he walked passed. "How long has he been here?" I gulped. "Long enough to piss me off," Jesse snapped.

I went over to the computer and finished up some emails and then went on my dinner break. "Take 30," Jesse offered. I smiled at him and nodded. The walk to the break room felt forever long tonight. Next thing I knew I had bumped into someone.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" I cried. I looked up and saw Hudson standing there. "I got to go," I sighed as I turned to walk away. "Kalani," he whispered. "I have to call my boyfriend," I lied and walked away. I turned back once more and there he stood staring at me. His messy hair laid perfectly on his head and his green eyes still could melt my heart. I turned back around and made it to the break room in one piece thankfully.

Before I knew it my shift was over and I headed to clock out so I could get the heck out of this awful store. "Thanks for coming in to help out tonight," Jesse smiled as he caught up to me. "No big deal," I smiled.

The next morning I woke up to my phone ringing.

"Hey babe!" Chaz chimed as I picked up the phone.

I smiled. His voice instantly warmed my heart. I could sit on the phone for hours just talking to him.

"Hey love," I smiled.

"I'm leaving now, I'll see you in forty minutes?" He asked.

"Make it thirty-nine and we have a deal," I laughed.

I heard him laugh and his laugh made me laugh even more.

"You have the cutest laugh, babe," he said. You could tell by his voice he was smiling, but then again when was he not smiling?
