You're worth the risk

Chapter Eight

I left the art center that the organization reserved for the model carnival and quickly found a car to take me back to the hotel. I need to at least talk to Noah. He deserves an explanation and maybe I could fix things between us. The car ride to the hotel seemed to drag on for years but after a twenty-minute drive, I was finally at my destination. I left the car after paying the driver and started my search for Noah. I knew that he was probably with his father and since Dr. Grant is a very busy man, they are probably in a meeting. I quickly walked down the hall towards the one place in this hotel where businessmen can conduct meetings. I quickly approached the room and saw Noah. A smile graced my face.

"Noah!" I exclaimed without thinking and everyone's eyes were on me. Noah's eyes widened and I noticed the blush on his cheeks. I think I just cause a scene.

"Dr. Ortega, there's no need for such an outburst" I heard Dr. Grant say with a chuckle. I looked at everyone and bowed.

"My apologies doctors, that was really rash of me. Could you all excuse my behavior? I need to speak with Mr. Grant for a moment" I stated while smiling at them and looking at Noah. We left the room and walked a little down the hall. Noah looked uncomfortable.

"I'm so sorry that I confessed to you like that. It was completely inappropriate, please don't hate me" He started rambling and I raised an eyebrow.

"Why would I hate you? You simply spoke from your heart and I can respect that" I reassured him and he sighed.

"Why are you talking to me? I broke the rules, you made it clear that breaking them wasn't something you take lightly" He asked me while looking down. I sighed and grabbed his hand gently.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you this morning. The truth is I love your company, I need your company. I didn't want you to leave this morning because I hate being apart from you. I need you. Everyone in my life has noticed how I am different when it gets close to the time I see you. I become happier, and more relaxed when I'm with you. I can't say I reciprocate your feelings but I am saying that you are important to me" I explained to him while staring into his eyes. Noah looked up at me and simply stared back.

"So what does this mean for us? I obviously don't want this to ruin anything but I can't pretend that I don't have these feelings for you" He asked with a soft puppy look.

"I would love for us to be good. I definitely don't want to lead you on but for the rest of the weekend, we could be good. I would love to see you when my name gets nominated tomorrow" I stated while playing with his hands. Noah smiled and nodded.

"I guess this is the last weekend I get with you right?" He said and I frowned. I would personally love to continue this with him but I can't be selfish. I can't play with his feelings for my own gain.

"So are you busy for the rest of the day?" I asked him with a hopeful grin.

"I'm not sure, father might need me for some things" He stated unsurely and I frowned.

"You can spend the day with doctor Ortega, son, I'll be fine without you" We heard Noah's father say from the meeting room before winking and going back inside the room. I looked back at Noah who was blushing and I chuckled.

"I believe you are mine all day" I declared before taking his hand in mine and dragging him away. Time for a day completely out of character for me but he's worth it.

I took Noah to the model carnival. I brought him here to do the one thing that is completely out of character for me. I brought him to meet my friends and family. We arrived at the building I was at less than an hour ago and Noah looked at me confused. I chuckled lightly before leading him to my family's booth causing him to smile once he saw Camila.

"Are you sure about this? This is definitely against the rules" Noah said unsure about everything. I smiled reassuringly at him.

"I know this is completely out of my comfort zone but you've met Camila so I figured you could meet my sister and my uncle and cousins" I explained to him and he smiled.

"Is your entire family in town right now?" He asked which caused me to chuckle.

"A big half of my family is in the modeling industry. It's my aunt's company, my uncle used to be a model and he helps represent them. My sister is also starting out in the business and has done some modeling and my cousins are here because their mothers are in Milan for fashion week" I explained why my entire family is basically in town. Noah smiled before squeezing my hand and we walked over to them. I introduced Noah to everyone and all were ecstatic about properly meeting the man that they have been gossiping about all morning. I sat back and let them interact while smiling. I'm glad this went well.

This is a big day for Gabe, being vulnerable and getting out of his comfort zone for Noah, I call couple goals! They are so cute together and I'm glad they fixed things. Now if only Gabe would realize that he is in love with Noah, everything would be fine.
