I woke up quite early today . I'll take a bath , tidy up the whole house , prepare all my school stuff and take a two or three hour nap.
When I left the room earlier this morning, uncle Bastard was not here anymore. I thanked my lucky star.
Else he would have done something I would never bear .
After taking a bath . I tidy the house . Having done that too . I head back to my room.
I prepare all the things I'll need on my first day at school .
My phone rings , interrupting me .
I groan to myself and take the phone in my hand .
It's Tamara . I smile upon seeing his name . Well , her name .
Her preferable pronouns are She, her,herself.
He's actually gay .
He's my only friend. My best friend to be specific.
"Girl ! Before you say anything. You need some explaining to do ." She says on the other side of the line before I could even say a word .
"You have ghosted me for almost two weeks now." She yells .
"Listen babe. I-'' She doesn't give me a chance to say anything.
"I'm not done talking. Don't interrupt me " she says.
"Okay . Go on" I say. Letting her yell at me all She wants .
"You make me so mad ! " She says , finally stopping blubbering non stop .
"Can't I explain now?" I ask her .
"I hope it's a good explanation" she says .
"I got caught up with work . I was busy preparing for school . It's starting a few days as you know " I say .
"Did you get enrolled ?" She asks .
"Yes babe !" I say with full excitement in my voice.
"You lie !" She says .
"I'm dead serious " I say .
She squeaks like a little rat and I can't help but laugh.
"That's wonderful" she says .
We talk for almost an hour.
"I have to go babe . We'll see each other in a few day's time" she says, dropping the call .
I feel happy after talking to my best friend . I had missed her so much .
I put my phone down and start putting everything In order . My books , textbooks... everything.
My dad told me he'd take care of the bills.
So the money I earned this month was to but stationery and a back pack .
There was still a lot of change that I saved up .
Having done everything that needed to be done , I went to bed.
I need a nap really badly . I barely did anything but I was so tired . I guess it's due to lack of sleep.

Days passed and neither mom , nor dad had returned . Uncle Bastard on the other hand tried coming in the house but I never opened the door for him. I kept the door locked since , I don't know when. I never left the house since the day my parents left.
Tomorrow I'm going to school. It happened too quickly . Days passed in a jiffy. I was so excited because I'd be seeing my best friend tomorrow.
I'd also be meeting new people. The feeling in indescribable. I'm elated .
I make myself some food when I was done, I went to watch a movie .
It was a comedy . I laughed throughout the whole film.
I received a call from Tamara today . We talked until the sun set .
The day passed quickly and I decided to go to bed.
I set an alarm on my phone. 5:30.
