DreamxfemaleOC
Hello, welcome to 'Where did all the stars go?'. I am an avid reader of fanfiction, specifically dreamXoc fanfiction, and I am also an avid writer. Not the worlds best by any means but my real life human degree and job are centred around writing. I have written draft after draft of potential fanfictions and all of them rest peacefully in my google docs folder but this idea is the one I'm most proud of. I love my little original characters as much as I love the dream team, I hope you love them too. 90% Of the chapters are from either Dream or August's perspective but the story does include the stories of August's sisters (Celeste and Betty) and Dream's adopted brothers (Sapnap and George, I hope you love their stories too.
I wanted to write something that felt like a full understanding of the situation and as much as this is a love story its also about friendship and solidarity, its cool me likey. I also have quite severe ADHD so my ability to focus on one story is slightly inhibited so writing something like this is much easier to write. I am going to finish this and I currently have all the free time in the world. Please, please do not hesitate to comment any suggestions or advice!
It is pivotal to note that this story has absolutely nothing to do with the canonical progression if the dream SMP and is in fact set in a situation in which the infinite world is just the minecraft earth. L'manburg is the name of the country in which this set and the book does use minecraft logistics within the story but you must think of L'manburg as a city within many other countries, all with their own communities and stories. I will definitely make many other references to dreamsmp lore or mcyt but none of them will have any real effect on the story and will more just be easter eggs for you to notice. This means that we get to see some peaceful interactions between people that it would be impossible to see in the dreamsmp and some dreamsmp allies go head-to-head. I am going to give you some background on the characters and the situation you're about to read about, Thank you for reading girlies<3
L'manburg citizens are assigned one of four divisions; Nurturer, Provider, Protector or Prophecy. These divisions are decided in a pivotal moment, usually during puberty. No one is quite sure how but, there is a moment for everyone in which it becomes clear to an individual and everyone who encounters them what division someone is. As is to be expected when you divide the population, hierarchy's have emerged within each division, changing the relationship between classes and divisions themselves.
Nurturers:
Nurturers prioritise the defence and care for other people above all else. Often taking stride in occupations like teaching, nursing/medicine and social or care work. Nurturers take the smallest role in the political sphere of influence and are often more focused on local and personal issues. Nurturers can't help but retain every piece of information and give gifts at every opportunity and everyone tends to have a nurturer in their life who they turn to in a time of need. They value empathy above everything and often get lost in their own moral code .

Notable members: Wilbur Soot, Niki Nihachu, Tubbo and the Astral Parents.
Providers:
Providers are the most logistically driven of the divisions. They prioritise meeting the unquestionable needs of others above everything else. Providers have the largest breadth of any divisions, stretching their responsibility across farming of all types, providing resources for hospitals, and responsible for building/town planning. It can be hard for providers to express their emotions as they are keen to stay well mannered and calm. Providers are responsible in government for things like the treasury and home affairs. Providers are pivotal to L'manburg and keep the peace by maintaining high quality of life, they are probably the least likeable as they make logical decisions in all situations.
Colour: Blue
Notable members: GeorgeNotFound, Betty Astral, CaptainPuffy, Queen Flemming, Quackity
Protectors:
Protectors are exactly what they sound like, they protect. They are rebellious and outgoing, and usually some of the most memorable people you meet. Almost all of the protectors within L'manburg are in the countries army, with a few protestors and members of congress making up the rest of the division. There is a division between the 'physical protectors' and the 'leading protectors'. Leading protectors all have a very specific strength in one area of defence (Potions/Fire/Bow/Redstone) whereas physical protectors are well-rounded and serve in a various amount of positions within the foot army. Protectors have the most established hierarchy within their division due to their competitive nature. Protectors love to fight fire with fire and usually win, they are also the least likely to settle down with a life partner and tend to chase thrill after thrill.

Notable members: Celeste Astral, Sapnap, Technoblade, TommyInnit, Punz
Prophecy:
There is very little to say about the prophecy. Some people were just designed to exist and this is where they fall. There is very few members of the prophecy that are publicly known and it is known that there are members who are hiding. The only real threat to members of the prophecy is other members, Members of the prophecy tend to have overwhelming powers of one description or another. They also tend to exist with their counterparts or exact opposite powers. Members of the prophecy are born with a target on their back and are the most valuable weapon in the country. There is a lot more to the prophecy but that's for me to know and you to find out girlies...

every KNOWN member: Dream, August Astral, Karl Jacobs, King Flemming, Ranboo
Around 19 years prior to where the story begins the king and queen adopt 3 boys from the orphanage who are aged 6mths, 2 and 4. They are renamed and, despite their lack of royal blood, are declared princes of L'manburg. There is a huge disturbance about what will happen when it is time for the crown to be passed when the royal bloodline has seemingly finished. These three boys are George Flemming, Clay Flemming and Nicholas Flemming. They are sent to the 'Divisionless Private School' alongside the children of the richest families in L'manburg and scholarship students. At this school they are very popular (In the government they are significantly less popular) , but they pivotally make friends with another set of siblings, the Astral's. They are best friends until political tension rises to a new extreme in L'manburg and the Astral's move away. Our story begins 4 and a half years after this.
Ages when the story begins:
George: 23
Betty: 22
Dream & August: 21
Sapnap: 19
Celeste: 18
author note: hello this is just a cobbled together introduction to some key concepts in the book to provide you with some clarity as to where we begin. In terms of the formatting of the book: the POV will always be at the top in bold but will usually just switch back and forth between our 2 favourite prophecy members, the story includes a lot of flash back and I don't title them as to not interrupt the flow of the story but they are entirely in italics for differentiation- these flashbacks are not always in the perspective of the narrator but are more outside views of moments relative to that part of the story, Dream/Sapnap swap back and forth between being called their nicknames or their real names- they have different relationships with different people so there is various boundaries on when they are comfortable with characters using their real names, and I will always do an author note and a word count at the end of each section just as a space for people to drop comments or questions etc (they will not ever be this long and this section wont have a word count because its just a background page).
It is so bizarre to think that someone might be reading this right now (terrifying). Okay I think that's enough information thrown at you for now!
Happy reading babes<3
