Constance POV

I groaned as I took another bite of Alec's delicious Belon oysters.

"This is delicious, Alec."

He nods and smiles at me.

"I mean it when I say its delicious." I state, my tone dead serious. I stare into his crystal blue eyes hoping he realises how much I have meant what I said.

"I'm glad you like it, Connie." he says.

I take another bite of the oysters as I take a sip of wine. I look back at Alec, he shifts uncomfortably on his seat.

"Are you okay Alec?"

He shifts in his seat again.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" he laughs nervously.

I raise an eyebrow. "Alright."

His face scrunches up as sweat starts to bead on his forehead.

"Are you sure you're alright Alec?" I ask innocently, knowing what I have done a few hours before.

A FEW HOURS BEFORE...

"I'm so sorry, Sunshine. I've told maintenance that I specifically wanted two twin beds not a queen sized one for couples." he tells me, a hint of mischievousness glimmering in his blue eyes.

No way, you're getting in my pants mister.

"I'll sleep on the floor."

"Not possible, it will scar my ego." he crosses his arms, muscles bulging out and all. "I won't bite, Sunshine."

He smirks. "Unless you want me too."

I punch his shoulder, like how he taught me the past couple of days in training.

"OUCH!" he shouts as he rubs his arm.

He smirks again.

Its pretty obvious he's faking it, he can get kicked in the stomach by Felix for goodness sakes and not move an inch. How will my punch be any different?

"I'm suppose to be furious or be utterly pissed, but instead it fills my heart with endearment to know that I thought you how to punch, Sweetheart." He smiles.

"I'm proud of you." he says as he pinches my cheek.

I swat his hand away. "Stop it Alec."

"We're two adults, who are very responsible of our actions." he says. "Why won't you trust yourself?"

"I trust myself." I reply quickly.

"Then, what's the problem?" he asks.

"Well, it's you, whom I don't trust." I glare at him.

"Good point." he shrugs.

A knock suddenly interrupts our heated conversation.

"Sir Alec?"

"Yes? Come in Edward." Alec replies.

A man, probably in his early twenties, enters the yacht's cabin and makes his way towards us. His pink polo slightly untucked from his white board shorts and his sunglasses on top of his head.

"I've called the maintenance head Ally, Sir." Edward replies courteously.

"And?"

"Like, I said earlier the twin beds are no longer available, Sir." he says.

"Do you at least have a mattress?" I asked.

I pretended not to notice the quick exchange between Alec and Edward. Edward glances at Alec, Alec replies by shaking his head.

"We don't have any extra mattresses, Mrs. Benenati."

"It's Ms. Benenati." Alec and I reply at the same time.

"I apologize, Ms. Benenati. Do you need anything else, Sir Alec?" Edward asks courtly.

"Negative, that will be all Edward. Thank you."

The moment Edward left the room, I turn to Alec.

"Dibs on the bed." I scream as I run to bed.

"Come on Constance, I won't do anything." Alec says.

"I don't believe you." I say, hugging the pillow.

"Then, let's battle for it." he suggests.

"Alright, I've become quite a democratic, ever since I've lived in New York for centuries." I say, standing up from the bed.

He scoffs and I return a glare.

"Alright." he stands in front of me. "Rock, paper and scissors?"

"I'm pretty sure it's called rock, paper, scissors." I argue.

"It's rock, paper and scissors, Sunshine." he replies.

"Whatever, let's finish this I'm too sleepy to function."

We motion our fists to the center and place it on top of our open palm.

"Rock."

"Paper."

"Scissors."

"Wait!" he shouts.

"What?" I ask, completely confused.

"We have to set an agreement." he continues. "If you win I sleep on the floor. If I win, you sleep beside me, like how normal couples sleep."

I blinked, utterly surprised at his agreement. He was serious about this game. Maybe a bit too serious perhaps, this man must have something rolled up in his sleeves.

"Uh.. Deal?"

"Shake on it." he says, taking my hand and shaking it.

"Lets begin." he grins, his white canines glimmering under the moonlight.

" You got it, bucko."

Long story short, he won, but with the help of dark magic which he possesses. After 10 minutes of constant battle, I finally gave up, without knowing he cheated. I reprimanded him after a few minutes of realising what he's done and he replies with 'You didn't say anything about not using your powers.' and smirks afterwards. He had the goddamn balls to smirk at me. I'm gonna skewer those balls in the future.

'I doubt it.' a voice inside my head replies.

Sometimes, I longed for a manual that would help a hundred year old woman stuck in a young adult's body, go through life like she's done it a hundred times. Sadly, life didn't come with a manual and everyday was different. I just had to suck it up.

The bad part is, I felt like life was doing it for me.

Hours after losing and 'dreading' to share a bed with Alec, I've placed a pillow in between us, after a series of Alec 'mistakingly' thinking that I was a soft pillow.

I've finally made myself comfortable on the bed when something vibrates under the pillow that was in between us. I place my hand under the pillow and collect the vibrating object.

His phone.

I curiously open his phone and see a text from Edward.

'I'll be leaving in the morning, Sir. Enjoy the sail!'
