Chapter 4

"now that i think about it, it looks like were in a province" jay whispered as they walked through the quiet forest

The two nodded in agreement

"no signs of any creatures yet" jay whispers, y/n then points at him making him fake a laugh "ha-ha y/n ha-ha, you're starting to become like heeseung here" he says making her laugh, heeseung only mocks him as a reply "by the way.." y/n started "what else did you learn when camping back then?" she asks as she looks at jay "ah! I learned how to clean dirty water" he replies with a bright smile, amazing the girl, heeseung rolled his eyes

There they go again with trying to impress the girl with their skills

"where did you even learn that?" heeseung asks "i had someone to teach me, duh" jay replies noticing how heeseung also wanted to learn

"you know hee, i can also teach you and.. Maybe one day you'll be far ahead of me"

Heeseung smiled at the compliment

"and if you are please stay there"

Son of a-

Suddenly there was a loud horn as if it came from a boat it was then followed by faint growls and grumbles

Heeseung suddenly froze, he slowly looked back when he heard it, a terrified feeling slowly building inside him

there was suddenly a loud growl behind him making him look back in panic

to his horror he was suddenly standing at the end of a hallway full of doors

his eyes widened, faint sound of a horn in the background

he was... back in the boat

no.. no... i.. i got out.. he thought

slowly the doors opened, people twice his size slowly came out, groaning and grumbling, slowly the people stopped, eyes on him

suddenly they growled before running towards him with speed

he felt his heart drop

"hee?"

he snaps his head to the side suddenly coming face to face with y/n, his heart pounding, his expression was terrified "you okay..?" she hesitantly asked noticing his expression, not responding for a moment, heeseung looks around.. he was.. back in the forest..

"didn't... didn't you both hear..that" he quietly asks referring to the loud horn, the two looks at each other before looking back at heeseung 

"the what?"

what... heeseung thought

He stared at the two before he shook his head "nothing.. Nothing" heeseung says before walking ahead, leaving the two right behind him, the two then grew worried of his sudden change of mood

growing worried, y/n decides to talk to heeseung for a moment. jay only stays behind not wanting to eavesdrop, his mind was too occupied right now

It's been dead quiet Since earlier

Should he be worried or satisfied?

Looking ahead he watches the two talk

He did see a sign of creatures.. But.. There's still none right now

He would at least be okay with something following them instead of.. Nothing..

The nothingness was giving him goosebumbs, the emptiness, the quietness.

He was used to having something always around them that having nothing was making him uneasy

Too much in his mind he suddenly trips on a rock, he yelps as he fell, closing his eyes ready to hit the ground

However

Instead of hitting the ground

He felt water

What..?

Opening his eyes, he realizes he was underwater

Panicking he looks up..

Nothing..

It was nothing but darkness

Above and below

He felt his heart pound as he tried moving but he was held in place

He started screaming yet it was all muffled

How did he get here?!

He panics more as he heard growling from under yet he couldn't see anything but darkness

"Jay!"

Immediately looking up, he suddenly comes face to face with the two

He was.. Sitting on the ground

He breathed heavily as he realized he wasn't underwater anymore

"you good?" heeseung slowly kneeled infront of jay "i.. I think so.. Yeah" jay replies unsure "i don't like it here.." he quietly adds

"neither do we" heeseung says before standing up, reaching out a hand which jay gladly took and stood up "we should continue.. The faster we get out of here the better" heeseung spoke before dusting himself "no one's after us so getting out of this forest will be easier" he adds making the two nod "what about the person jay saw..?" y/n asked as she walked up to heeseung "what about them?" he replies raising a brow, y/n only blinked before nodding

They have to focus on themselves for now.. Maybe they'll just see that person somewhere

"are you sure you're alright?" y/n asked as she walked towards jay earning a shy grin "i'm alright Don't worry" jay replies setting aside the experience he had

It wasn't real after all..

As the two continued talking, heeseung slowly looks back to where he heard the loud horn and growls, cold air brushed against him pushing his hood back revealing his features

"you okay? you look occupied" jay suddenly taps heeseung's shoulder making him look 

y/n only sits on a rock as the two boys continued talking, eye growing tired

looking up she sees the two boy slightly laughing as they talk

slowly her eyes closed

suddenly the laughter disappeared

feeling weird of the sudden silence, y/n opens her eyes 

she froze when the boys were gone

"..guys?" she called as she slowly stood up, looking around cautiously, slowly she grew nervous

"jay... Heeseung...?"

*swoosh*

Panicking, she turns around when she heard the bush "okay... You both got me.." she whispered as she slowly backed away from the bush "you can come out now.." she adds, suddenly hearing footsteps from behind her which made her turn in fear

But.. Still nothing

Slowly breathing in, she quietly calls once more "h..heeseung.." she stutters

She suddenly heard an owl

She felt uneasy, alone and afraid

Where are you both.. She thought as she helplessly looked around

She suddenly heard a loud screech making her flinch 

As soon as she turned around she saw the two boys talking

She then realizes she was once again sitting on the rock

She stayed on her spot for a good minute, processing what had just happened when she noticed heeseung walk towards her

"you okay?" he asks raising a thumbs up, she slowly nods

"you two look cute"

Heeseung sharply sighs before turning towards jay

"your absence is highly needed you know that?"
