Timeless River

In the other world, the doors was shaking and tumbling, with cartoon like noises and the group were thrown out. They all looked like in an old cartoon and Byleth and Sora wore the outfits from their first adventure while Donald and Goofy had totally different ones. Donald had a sailor-like uniform and Goofy had still his tall hat but wore a sleeveless shirt with one button. Goofy lifted his head and shook it before looking up to see something.

Goofy: Hey, look! There's the Cornerstone of Light!

They stood up and saw the Cornerstone of Light on sockles in the middle of the place. Sora and Byleth got closer for a better look until Sora noticed something and while speaking, they sounded different.

Sora: What's going on? Everything's black and white.

Byleth: More like an old cartoon.

Donald: Hey, this is kinda like... um... uh.... *tries to find the right word*

Goofy: Déjà vu?

Donald: Yeah, that's it!

Sora: Really? Have you been here before?

Donald and Goofy thought for a while but then shrugged with their shoulders. They then spotted a familiar, big, black tomcat in overals and a big hat on his head, who ran past them towards the road with the sign that said "Pier" on it. He looked a bit like Pete, but something about him was different. When he spotted the group, he skidded before them to a halt.

Past Pete: Hey you! Seen any bad guys around here?

Byleth: *thinks* He sounds and looks like Pete, but he doesn't seem to be the one we seek.

Sora, Donald and Goofy pointed a finger at him, making Pete shocked and offended by their answer. He then raised a fist in anger.

Past Pete: Why I oughta...!

He looked ready to fight, but the group raised their weapons which looked normal but were only black-white. Pete then remembered something and lowered his fist.

Past Pete: Bah! I don't have time to waste on punks like you. So I guess, I'll go easy on ya!

He then turned and ran towards the pier. The group watched him running while lowering their weapons.

Sora: Well, there's our villian.

Byleth: I don't think that's-

She stopped when Donald and Goofy nodded in aggreement what Sora said and headed off, chasing Pete. Byleth sighed and followed after them. When arriving the pier, they saw Pete standing on a wooden dock, looking around the river. As the group walked up to him, he turned to see them coming and looked irritated.

Past Pete: What's with you squirts? You got some kinda bone to pick with me?

Sora: More than one!

Past Pete: *swings his arm like a windmill* Them's fighting words!

A boat whistle was then to hear from the distance and Pete wanted to go from where the sound came, but Sora, Donald and Goofy blocked his way with their weapons raised. Byleth stood aside, looking really annoyed that they hadn't realized that they were facing the wrong Pete.

Sora: Not so fast!

Donald: Yeah!

The trio then jumped on Pete, and beated the crap out of him in a dust cloud. A few seconds later, Peter was on the ground beaten. He sat then up with a groan and shook his head before looking angry at Sora.

Past Pete: What's you punks' beef with me anyway? *examines the four wondering* Who are ya? You new around here?

Sora: Cut the act.
