Eliza's POV-

It was late at night and I just got back from a long day of partying with my friends. It was my 21st birthday ok! I had to get myself something strong to drink. My head was pounding with every step I took, and the rain pouring down was NOT helping.

I could barely even see In front of me, I felt dizzy and nauseous. I could feel myself start to stumble sideways. My feet caught myself after I slipped of the edge of the curb, but then I realized I had accidentally thrown myself into the bustling streets of New York City.

Luckily the street I was on was not a major road, so there was less traffic. From a distance, I heard a loud noise, I was waaaaaaaaayy too drunk to recognize what it was. Eventually I noticed...Once it came within close proximity of me, it was already too late. A 40-ton 18-Wheeler started sliding down the street as the driver tried to stop the vehicle.

There it was, my whole life laid out before me. It went from my most forgotten memories, to about ten minutes prior to this whole predicament. It was so hard letting go, I could feel my whole body freeze. I just stared at the truck sliding down the street because of all the rain. A single tear fell down my cheek as the truck came a few feet in front of me.

I whispered to myself, "Sorry-" And I closed my eyes accepting the fact that I would never see this place ever again. This whole big world, gone to a waste. At least I had all the fun I could, and I regret none of it. BOOM! All of a sudden it went dark. Then I saw a faint light above me, it was like I was looking at a single star that had wandered off from all the rest in the galaxy. It was a lost sheep, a one in a million. I reached out towards the gleaming light, hoping it'd be someplace like Heaven, or the Afterlife.

A deep, ominous voice came out of nowhere and spoke, "I have a very, very, special place for a girl like you..."  I started falling back again... I wanted to escape!

I thought to myself, "A girl like me...?" Then in all of it's splendor, the sky opened and I was falling from high in the air. I looked down at my hands and the further I fell back down to the earth, the grayer my appearance was. I was losing my life. My spark. My light. I was just what was in the inside of my earthly body. I'm a soul...

In all of my 21 years of life, I had always said, "Live regretlessly." And here I am now, regretting the party of a lifetime... Well, there's no more life left for me to live anyways. The sky around me folded like black bedsheets and I tried to catch the edges but every time I threw my arm out I missed them. I fell down, and down, and down, and the further I went, the further I got from ever seeing life again.

As I got closer to the planet, it just kept growing and growing.

"This is going to hurt..." I said to myself.

I wasn't mad. Not at all. I was just confused, scared, and sad that I never got to live out my biggest dream...

Winning the national tournament for All-American Ice Hockey.

It sounds stupid, I know it does, but it's a passion that I've had for a very long time. I've been playing hockey since I was 3 and I used to live in Minnesota so it was easier for me to play when the lakes froze over during the winter. During the summer I would play Street hockey with my older brother, Blue. I loved it so much, and then my dad had gotten a job offer in New York, so we moved so he could be closer to his business.

I felt that over the years, while I was living with my family, it became harder and harder to make friends. Then I met Shelby, my roommate at Fordham University. Shelby is probably one of my only friends besides my cat, Keigo. (yes its an MHA refrence, get over it)  Keigo's a small brown cat with beady green eyes and a cute little button nose. I love him but now I'll never see him again...

Or Shelby...

Or Dad...

Or Blue...

Or anyone for that matter...

I'll be alone, forever...
