Chapter 3 - Early Jog Part 1

It was 4.00 am and your alarm went off.

"Oh my god!!!" Lily tossed and turned and put the pillow on her head. "What time is it, can you shut that off please! My gosh, must you jog now?".

"Lily, I am not going to start an argument about this with you now. You know why I do this, so please let me be".

"Ok, ok, ok" Lily said, while turning ."Please bring my pepper spray with you, it is still dark outside. Lot's of loco people here in Vegas". "Ughhhh" she pulled the blanket over her head. "Go! Now! and let me sleep".

"Ok" you whispered "I will bring your pepper spray, but you do know I did a lot of self-defence classes right?"

"Shhhhh" Lily said "Just go and let me sleep". She quickly took the blanket from her head " yeah bring the spray". Lily crawled under the blanket again.

"Ok" you whispered again and softly closed the door behind you.

You started jogging the minute you got out of the hotel. You were not really familiar with the area so you just started jogging in the direction ahead of you. Then you saw a bridge and decided to cross it. As you almost crossed the bridge you saw the Allegiant Stadium. "Ah so here is where we are going tonight". You thought. You decided to jog around the stadium, it looked beautiful.

There was a big billboard with a picture of a handsome guy 'Good luck with the concert JK' it said. "Hmm that must be one of the boys" you thought. Lily was right, he is handsome. As you looked up at the board you wanted to start jogging again, but almost tripped. "Wow" you quickly balanced your body and saw that one of your shoe laces were untied. You kneeled down to tie it.

Suddenly you heard a voice behind you. "Uh excuse me miss". You thought of what Lily said earlier 'Lots of loco people in Vegas'. So you pretended not to hear anything and kept on tying your shoe lace.

"Uh sorry to bother you miss, but can you help me quickly" the voice behind you went again. You closed and open your eyes again. You were still down on the floor to tie your shoe lace. You quickly held on to the pepper spray, while slowly turning around. In your head all the defence classes flashed by. You knew what you had to do if he tried to attack you. As you looked up, there was this tall man standing in front of you with shorts. He looked liked he worked out all the time, you couldn't clearly see his face, it was already getting light, but he was wearing a mask.

"I'm sorry" he carried on. He looked at the pepper spray. "I didn't mean to scare you, I just wanted to ask if you could take a picture of me". He held his camera in front of him. "You see I bought this camera, you know the kind that you still have to develop the film roll. I think it is a nice way of taking a picture, and I was wondering".

You didn't let him finish "Boy, you kind of scared me there".

"I'm sorry, perhaps I shouldn't have asked for help. Lots of loco people here in Vegas" He said.

You had to laugh at his words. "Yeah, my best friend said the same".

You tried to look at his face, but the mask covered his nose and mouth. You looked him in the eyes. Those were eyes you had never seen before. They kind of looked like dragon's eyes. He had silver hair, but he was still young. The hair color looked good on him. All of a sudden you felt a bit shy looking into his dragon eyes.

"It's ok, if you don't want too, I understand. I didn't mean to scare you, I am sorry" and the boy was about to jog off again.

You kind of stood there looking at his back as he jogged further. Those muscles, you thought. Those eyes, your mind wondered. 

"Quick!", went through your mind, "Do something!" All of a sudden you could hear yourself shout: "Hey, wait! It's fine, I will take your picture". Boy with the dragon eyes, you thought by yourself, how could I not take a picture of you.
