Koda POV

September 9th, the day it all started. I remember it as clear as the deep blue eyes I fell for two years ago.

And today, another beautiful beginning will be born.

3:17PM

The idle sounds of Suisei working in her room echo in my ears as I anxiously wander around the sofa, making sure absolutely everything is ready.

Every click of the mouse, tap on her keyboard, and the occasional sigh all make me subconsciously speed up my pace.

Several minutes pass, and I just barely catch movement in the furthest part of my peripherals.

Instinctively, I turn my head to see both my greatest happiness, and the source of my anxiety.

My girlfriend.

S: "Are you ready?"

It's the same one.

The dress that I've seen so often since we met.

The dress that I see her in whenever she pops into my mind.

The dress I see almost every single day.

Yet she looks better and brighter in it than ever before.

K: "I'm all ready, how about you? You sure about what you're wearing and everything?"

S: "Yeah, I was thinking between a few others, but there's just something about wearing what I did two years ago."

As she looks off into nowhere, reminiscing about the past, her lips tug to form a slight smile;

one that gets mirrored on my own.

Over a full quarter hour passes; the low humming of tires against the road keeping us from total silence.

Silence that is eventually broken as Suisei loses to her curiosity, gaze still locked on to the world outside the window.

S: "Say, where are we going? I've been here before, but are we going someplace further?"

K: "Ah, no, don't worry. We're basically already there, and it's a place you know very well."

Out of the corner of my eye, I see her turn her head away from the window and towards me,

a raised eyebrow and slightly tilted head showing her confusion in full view.

She opens her mouth to speak, but is interrupted by the slowing down of the car as we pull over a dimly lit café.

S: "Is this..."

K: "Been a while since we last came, but it's still the place we first met."
