Y/n POV:
2011 it has been over a thousand since I was turned into the original vampire-witch hybrid and ran from Mikael, leaving my husband Elijah and our family behind.
I have been everywhere; France, Spain, China, Italy, Turkey, Mexico, Thailand, Germany, UK, Egypt, most of the USA and so on and so forth just to stay hidden.
It has been hard being by myself. I have not been able to find a home, family, make many friends or a new love.
But now I find myself on the way to New Orleans to try start a new life and happy one for the first time in what feels live forever.
Reading a road sign saying 'Vieux Care' or the French Quarters of New Orleans made me smile. While I am in New Orleans I would be staying with the local witches.
Driving through the French Quarter was amazing the sound of music ran through the air, people walking partying on the streets. It was truly an experience you could only feel here and in Rio. There is rest of the world I have seen was not so energetic, fun and the mortal human lived in peace.
Although I do have a masking spell on myself and on my magic because the witch's said there are laws against practicing dark arts, doing ancient rituals, extra. But That will not stop me from doing and practicing witchcraft I would just do it under the radar of the city leader. They do not call me the Queen for no risen. I go by my rules.
I arrived at the address the witch had given me parked my Black Ford F-Series outside switch it off, got out the car. I looked down at my outfit, I was wearing blue ripped jean, black knee high high-heel boots with a white shirt sleeve cotton shirt and my hair were half-up half-down I thought I looked good.
I looked around and felt at peace for the first time in years.
A young girl in a white dress walked up to me smiling and started to speak, "Hello I'm Davina you must be..."
"Athena?" A nether voice that was all to formular spoke from behind me.
"Niklaus," I questioned turning to look at him then walked up to him.
"It can't be, you... you... my father...you are meant to be dead." He said as I ran over hugging me as if I would become dust when the let go.
"I never died; I ran from you father. I missed you so dearly Nik." I said holding on to him just as tightly as he was to me.
"Why?" He questioned slightly pulling away to look in my eyes, "Why did you run and not tell us or ask for help?"
"Because I would have been a distraction. Not one of you would have thought clearly. It was my best option at the time." I replanned letting go of him.
"I don't understand why you would be a distraction to me or my family." He asked not taking an eye of me.
"I wouldn't have been a distraction to you but to Elijah, he would have been blinded by hate for wha..." I was interrupted.
"Who would have distracted me from what exactly." With those eight words all my fears from the past thousand plus year would have come true.
Niklaus moved to the side reveling my once love of my life, my soulmate, my life and death, the king to my reign, my one and only husband.
"Hello, Elijah," I said as our eye's meet.
