He uses this to his advantage and became a bounty hunter with his titan. His titan a customized ronin he calls edge that had been passed down from his father and this is how he became the leader of team 066.
After the loss of both his parents due to blisk and his team the apex predators who had taken over his home planet. His father had assigned his own titan edge to his son who had been saved by the marauder core. After his rescue he had been trained to fight as a pilot both hand to hand combat and how to properly work a gun. Soon after learning as a pilot he had been assigned to his titan which they had rescued with him. He was a prodigy as soon as he got in his titan. But soon after he learned how to work the titan he had been put into the frontline against the apex predators. His assigned team soon fell due to ash the pilot of another ronin titan.
After waking up under rubel that had fallen onto him he finds his titan had been completely torn apart missing the complete top half of it. Using his pilot kit he creates a portal big enough to fit the bottom half of his titan and him to the nearest junk yard to try rebuilding his titan. Once he arrives he starts scavenging through the broken titans he brings back a XO-16 accelerator and top half of another ronin class titan. After several days with no sleep he assembled his new titan with a new arsenal of weapons and abilitys for his titan to use. All of a sudden edge reports he detects a hostile titan incoming.
