Starlight

Minjun has been in a rut since the breakup. He wasn't his usual self, he can mostly be seen either being sad or angry, never happy.

It was starting to affect the group. The boys weren't used to this. Every day he would write songs after songs after songs until he would drain himself dry of any knowledge or energy. He begged his manager if he could release his songs, even if it was only one he would have taken it! After he didn't want to agree with Minjun but after seeing how hard he was working, how could he say no?

So they permit him to release his song. It was surprised to fans and everyone else, even his band members. Minjun didn't bother to tell him that he was releasing music. He didn't even do promo shoots, advertising, nothing. He just went straight into recording.

The day that the video was released was on 09.22. Fans quickly break down the whole video, from the couple pictures that Minjun had remaining to the twice merchandise to even personalize gifts. The video shows Minjun walking around in a vacant room, with lots of items people don't like, those items being his and Nayeons personalize items that they have given each other.

The lyrics go on to explain the type of relationship and connection that the once couple had. It made the fans feel sad that they would hurt their bias like this.

Minjun gives a bittersweet smile when he reads the comments from the fans, watching as they realise their errors. There was nothing that they could do now. Minjun could never fully trust his fans if they could have hurt the one he truly loved.

When his band members heard the song. They were annoyed that Minjun didn't tell them anything about it. Taeyhung wanted to sing in it while Yoongi was annoyed that he didn't come to him for audio advance but they still supported him.

It's only two weeks after the song dropped, and it remained #1 on the charts due to its heartbreaking messages, Minjun got a call early in the morning.

"Hello?" His muffled voice asks. He only heard sniffling in the background which made him wake up more.

"I'm sorry..." Realizing who it was he lays back down and sighs.

"I guess you finally got the courage to call me? It's not your fault. I wanted to release that song to show everyone that they are wrong"

"I know...I really love the song, Minnie, especially how you added the pictures of us."

He groans and replies, "I told you I hate that name"

He heads her laughter coming through the phone. It made him smile. That sweet sound.

"I won't ever stop saying it"

"You're difficult"

"And you love me for that" the phone goes quiet. The two did not know what to say.

"I know we can't be together now because of everything, but I'll wait until the World thinks it's right for us okay?"

"Like what soulmates do?"

"Well duh. I wouldn't have it any other way"

He hears her sigh, "I have to go, but thank you for that...no one has ever done that for me."

"You're welcome, I love you"

"I love you too Minnie" He groans and hangs up the phone after hearing her laugh at him. Minjun closes his eyes and smiles, feeling a small bit of content flowing through him.
