"Zak wait!"

Darryl tries to keep an eye out for Zak who is starting to blend in with the mesh of people who have decided to go shopping today. It wasn't that crowded earlier but Zak and Darryl did arrive late and Zak wanting a drink also gave up more of their time. So by now, the streets are packed.

Darryl is so caught up in his thoughts, he doesn't pay attention to how he's caught up to Zak who is right in front of him, stopped. He collides into the other and both boys fall to the ground in a heap of struggling limbs.

"Darryl! What the hell dude!" Zak grunts, trying to push Darryl off of him.

Darryl let's out a huff of aggravation. "Language! And you can't just run off like that. What if you got lost or hurt?"

Rolling his eyes, Zak does one final push before untangling himself from the other. He stands up and brushes his clothes off. "Yeah well, I'm good, so no need to worry."

Zak goes to take a sip of his drink but realizes he no longer has it. He frantically looks around and finds it a bit further away from them. It's turned over on its side, the blue liquid spilling out over the floor in a puddle. Zak makes a face. He actually liked that drink.

"You ruined my drink." Zak looks towards Darryl who is getting up off the ground. It earns him a sigh from the other.

"I can just buy you another one you muffinhead. And that's what you get for running off like that."

Rolling his eyes, Zak mumbles something under his breathe so the other can't hear. He ran off because he didn't want Darryl to know what had happened while he was in the cafe. Sure, it wasn't all that bad but Zak knows part of what his friends said we're true. Darryl does tend to do whatever he asks for. He does it out of the kindness of his heart. It makes him feel special. Like he has a chance to start everything new again and feel loved. He doesn't want anything to mess it up for them.

Zak takes a look at his surroundings and notices they're in front of a store for party supplies. How convenient. He motions for Darryl to follow him and they both make their way inside. Upon entering, it's clear that the store has anything you could ever ask for. There's supplies for birthday parties, Christmas parties, Easter parties, Halloween parties, etc. What they really need though is the Halloween section.

Darryl and Zak make their way over to the Halloween section and start to pick out random items they think will work. The items they're supposed to bring are candy, streamers, and pumpkins, but anything extra would be nice. After all, they're working together as a class so bringing in more supplies is better.

Darryl leaves Zak to his own thing and wanders around the next aisle. The shelves are filled to the brim with carved pumpkins of all kinds. His eyes immediately go to one that has a cute derpy face. It's tongue is sticking out and the eyes are a bit spread out. Darryl grabs it and turns it around in his hands.

"You're kinda cute," Darryl says, smiling fondly at the pumpkin's face. "I think you'd make a great addition to the house."

A small noise has Darryl jolting up and he goes to turn around and see what it was. All he finds is a pumpkin that has fallen off the shelf. He walks over to it, bends down to grab it, and finds the place it once was in.

Now that he's looking at it though, it seems weird the pumpkin just fell on its own. When Darryl was looking at them, they all seemed to be neatly stacked in place. None of them were about to fall off so how did this one end up on the floor? Darryl cautiously peeks around the corner of the aisle he's in just to check and see if someone is on the other side but no one is.

Darryl is freaked out now and goes back to the last place he'd seen Zak, carrying the pumpkin with him. When he finds his friend gone, that worry increases. Okay so, he lost Zak and there's probably someone following him. No big deal, right?
