Chapter- 18 tease

Megha's POV

After our intense kiss I walked out. He looked frustrated when I stopped him but what can I do? I don't want to do that thing just like that. To be frank, I want him too but I don't want to have sex with him just for physical needs. If it has to happen one day, then I wish it would be love making but whom I am kidding he doesn't even like me, love is far away.

Mr. Williams is waiting for me at the end of the hallway. When he spotted me, he smiled at me and I freaking know why he smiled.

"Don't think too much Mr. Williams," I said embarrassedly.

"Shall we go?" he offered his hand.

"Yeah," I said and held his hand for support.

I just messaged Karthik that I am going. He saw the message within a second and I saw his eyes searching for me and then spotted me at the exit door.

I smiled and waved at him before walking out.

Mr. Williams dropped me at home. I asked him to go back and I can manage to come home but he said it is not safe to go alone at night. Every time I attend an event he will come with me, sometimes Saakshi too follows me.

If I ask why, he says he comes to ensure my safety. He is very loyal to me like he is with me from the start.

I went home and changed into comfortable clothes, after that I had my dinner which was prepared by Aunt Nirmala as I am hungry.

It is 11 pm but my husband hasn't reached home till now.

I settled on the couch in the living room with a book as I am not getting sleep. Half way through my book someone knocked on the door. I thought it's him and opened the door but it was not Karthik who knocked on the door but Arjun. He was holding Karthik who was not in his senses.

"What happened to him?" I asked tensely, as soon as I saw him.

"He is drunk and he could not handle alcohol," Arjun replied.

"What?" I asked blankly as I don't know that.

"I will tell you once I settle him because he is heavy," he said.

"Ok let me help you," I remarked and tried to grab Karthik's hand but Arjun stopped me.

I stared at him not understanding why he was stopping me.

"He doesn't let anyone touch him when he is drunk. I mean he only allows me and Bhushan to touch him when he is drunk, he can sense touch," Arjun explained.

"Ok, but let me try once," I muttered and he nodded.

"Karthik, come," I said and held his hand. That's it he left Arjun and fell on me. Good thing Arjun caught him before we both fell on the floor.

Arjun and I took him to our bedroom and settled him on the bed then I covered him properly with a duvet.

"Can you please explain to me why he is drunk and why he couldn't drink?

"Two hours back we both were at the event and he didn't drink anything, now how it happened," I asked Arjun.

"Actually, he couldn't handle alcohol... even if he drinks a little, he gets drunk easily so he won't drink unless he is in a bad mood. Suddenly Bhushan called me and told me that he was drunk and Bhushan was unable to take him so I took him home," Arjun explained.

"Oh... Ok," I replied, slightly lost in my thoughts.

Why is he in a bad mood? Because I stopped him from touching me? Or did anything happen after I came back?
