Blake walked into her penthouse, the boxes were gones, the place was empty.
A week passed since Meredith and Christina decided to not waste the honeymoon booked in Hawaii. A week passed since Blake saw Meredith or even heard from her. The only thing she got was short text.
'I'm going with Christina to Hawaii for the next two weeks.' That was it. She tried calling of course , who wouldn't? Your fiancé just decides to up and leave the city without any prior notification. Then you call. The calls went unanswered, her messages filled up Meredith voice mail box and so she just stopped. She stopped calling because if the woman you love doesn't answer, if she doesn't pick up when you've called ? What's left and she wasn't about to get on a plane to the island..
She wasn't sure what the latest problem with Meredith was. But for once she didn't want to be the one who tried to get her to open up. She didn't want to chase..
So she did what she did best. She pushed it to the back of her mind, sealed it up in little boxes and ignored it until it became an issue and finished packing up the penthouse. Called the movers and had everything moved to the new house. She decided to sell the penthouse, there was no point keeping it. She put it back on the market, hoping to get a good price for it.
She sighed and turned around and grabbed her keys before entering the lift. When the doors closed it felt like a chapter of her life was closing, ending but her next chapter ... Well that was a bit unclear.

Hawaii
'Hey.. I've probably left a fifty other messages. I get you're being there for your best friend and I'm not saying it's wrong because it's not. A terrible thing happened .. but you know mer there's a reason you've got a phone. Pick it up and let me know whether you're alive or you know don't. Whatever. I guess you're having one those moments and to be honest .. just send me a text saying you're fine. This'll be the last message. Enjoy Hawaii.'
Meredith listened to the latest message in her and Christina's hotel rooms bathroom. She put the phone on the floor and wiped away the tears. She hated what she was doing, she was avoiding, she was avoiding the woman that loved her, she was distancing herself and she hated it. But she didn't know what to say, what could she tell Blake ?
Everything she thought up would be and sounded like bull shit. Christina didn't get her happily ever after and she didn't think she would either.. Burke walked out, walked away and packed his things and left.
The engagement ring on her finger almost glared at her, regardless of her avoiding Blake or talking about what she felt , she didn't feel right taking it off, she didn't feel like she could take it off. In fact she felt pretty naked without it.
"Hey mer! What are doing? pooing? Come on we have to hit the beach." Yelled Christina as she knocked on the bathroom door.
Meredith stood to her feet and washed away any evidence of her tears and stared at herself in the mirror. She breathed out, before flushing the chain and stepping out of the bathroom.
She found Christina wearing a white bikini "Come on, we need to get a good spot, todays the day I get a good tan."
Meredith forced a smile "Yeah?"
Thankfully Christina wasn't paying much attention else she would have called her out for such a fake smile. "yeah.. by the way have you spoken to Blake? She sent me a message and wired me a couple of thousand dollars for some strange reason."
Meredith's breath hitched "Yeah? Maybe she just wants you to spoil yourself?" She offered trying to avoid the stab of guilt in her chest.
Christina hummed "Yeah.. the message was simple just 'blowing cash seems to work wonders, enjoy yourself my favorite Asian'" she recalled "that was pretty nice of her."
