Gareth wasn't necessarily the person who had a lot of patience. Him lashing out on others wasn't a rare occasion, and you had to calm him down a lot.

But let's just say that the both of you weren't braced for what was about to happen that day.

It was a school day, regular and boring and there was nothing that was interesting to you in any way, aside from your boyfriend of course. He was currently sitting beside you in the cafeteria, his hand seated on your thigh while he drew patterns into it which made you smile.

Soon enough, a guy from the basketball team came up to your table and demanded you to come with him. Since you were done eating and had nothing better to do, you followed him, telling Gareth that you'd be back soon. Gareth was just sitting on his seat as he watched you leave.

The place you arrived as was... Interesting. It was a small space right in between the sports hall and the schools building, and it was narrow and a bit uncomfortable to be at.

The guy turned around, grinning at you with a weird expression.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Y/N L/N. I have heard a lot of you and you're prettier than everything I've heard from everyone around...", he whispered, and was now approaching you slowly. You took a few steps back, and felt your back hit the wall. Crap.

"Oh don't be shy, I just want to have some fun.", the creep said, as he stared at you weirdly. He trapped you between him and the wall, making it even harder for you to escape. His face got closer to you, and you waited for any sign that this wasn't happening.

Until you didn't feel him anymore, hearing a strange sound coming from in front of you. When you looked correctly, you recognized your boyfriend standing in front of you. He apparently sent a punch straight to the guys face, judging from the way he was holding his nose.

"What the fuck man?", he shouted into Gareths direction, which made the curly haired boy even more angry.

"Hands off my girlfriend!", Gareth screamed, his face was twisted in anger and he made himself look more broad in front of you. The guy chuckled, before getting up and making his way towards the both of you.

"Your girlfriend, eh? See if she still chooses you if I beat you to a pulp.", he spat, before bolting forward and tackling Gareth to the ground.

"Gareth!", you screamed in terror, watching the whole thing go down. There were a lot of punches and hits exchanged between the two of them, and Gareth seemed to be a lot more successful than the creep. Luckily he was stronger than he looked.

He was on top of the tall basketball player, pinning his wrists to the ground and keeping him in place. The guy shouted in helplessness, angered that he was unable to win. Your boyfriends nose was bleeding, and his nails were dirty. His face was covered in small red marks, making him seem a bit more intimidating.

"You leave my partner alone right now, understand?", he spat into his face, making the guy below him grit his teeth.

"Let me go!", he yelled, and Gareth only stared at him blankly. It wasn't until you interfered that he turned away from him.

"Gareth, let him go please. I know that he is a douchebag, but I don't want to see you hurt any longer. Please stop!", you exclaimed, making the curly haired boy sigh in defeat. He let go of the guys wrists, getting off him slowly, keeping his eyes fixed on him in case he'd try any more reckless things.

The guy got up and ran away as fast as he could, not looking back one single time. Gareth chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief.

"My gosh, are you okay?", you said worriedly as you jogged up to him, examining his face. Luckily, there was nothing more than the things you already saw. Except for his eye slowly turning darker.

"Yeah, it's fine, don't worry about me. What about you darling? Did he do anything?", he asked, as he lifted up your chin. You nodded and smiled softly, taking his hand and leading him back to the main building.

"I'm fine. Now let's get you cleaned up, I hate seeing you hurt.", you sighed, not seeing the small blush on your boyfriends cheeks.

Do you really care for me that much?
