The first incident was in Keiki City.
An extraordinary child was born who radiated light.
Then, there were reports of people with powers across the globe.
Before long, the supernatural became normal. Dreams are reality. The world became a superhuman society with about 80% of the population possessing some uncanny ability.
Our streets looked like scenes from comic books. A city swirled with chaos and confusion,
a new profession dominated our collective consciousness.
It was an age of heroes.

My eyes looked over at the scene in front of me. Four boys were playing on nearby railway tracks. They seem to be playing tag. Showing off their flashy quirks, while using it in unique ways to catch each other, it genuinely looked fun.
I felt jealousy brew within me. They all seemed to be having so much fun
Maybe one day, I can join in too.
I decided to walk home early. If I had watched those kids a bit longer, the jealousy within me would have annoyingly exploded all over them. I have to do my homework anyways.
Also mother would probably be worried sick.
