Awake

It felt as though something was clawing her insides. Artemis sat up groaning and Robb jolted awake. He sighed in relief and pulled her in for a hug shocking her.
"I'm so glad you're alright." Robb said. Artemis smiled softly and leaned into him.
"What is it?" She asked. She could sense he was troubled. He looked over to Grey Wind who was sleeping peacefully at the end of the bed.
"You've been out for three days. I haven't been able to function properly." He admitted and she placed her hand on his.
"It's the mate bond. Trust me, when I take you to your brother, and I leave, you won't feel it very much." She explained. Robb looked at her oddly and shook his head.
"I don't want you to leave." He said quietly and she looked at him with a sad smile.
"I'm not from here, Robb. I live in another time period, perhaps even another world, and I have to get back. You don't want to come back with me, and I doubt you want me." She told him. Robb laughed darkly and pulled her in by his finger under her chin.
"You're mine. You said it yourself. You are the one true thing that is mine. I'm not losing my second chance at love. I'm not." Robb told her promising she wasn't gonna leave but she shoved his hand away.
"That's the problem. I'm not your second chance. I was made for you. Not something that is a second choice. My whole life I was taught to wait for my mate, and I did. But it turns out my mate didn't wait for me. I'm an Alpha. I have a pack who needs me, Robb! A pack needs an Alpha. My mate has to step up and be an Alpha or I have to choose one who will." She said sadly and got out of bed. Robb growled loudly shocking her and Grey Wind.
"No one will touch you." He promised and Artemis looked at him weirdly.
"Why? You made it pretty clear when we first met that you don't want me." She whispered.
"You're mine, Artemis. And I'm yours. I'm sorry I didn't wait for you. This is all new to me." He pleaded for forgiveness and Artemis knew she was being too hard on him.
"Theres nothing to forgive. You didn't know." She smiled and placed her hand on his chest.
"I'm just jealous ." She admitted and blushed which caused Robb to chuckle.
"Prove it." He stated. Artemis's eyes turned black as she backed Robb into a corner only for him to slip them around where she was backed against the wall. His hand traveled up her thigh and stopped at her waist.
"Robb," she gasped when he placed his fingers on her warm core and moaned when he moved them in a rhythm. It was better than any dream she'd had.
"Say it." He ordered and she looked at him with hooded eyes. He picked up his pace and she hitched a breath which turned into a breathy moan.
"Say that you are mine." He told her and she smiled wickedly at him.
"Until you stick your cock in me, I'm not anyone's." Robb growled and laid her gently on the bed. He looked down at her cut only to see that it had fully healed except for the scar still visible.
"It's fine." She promised and Robb looked back over body with lust. His eyes traveled over the lumps of full of breasts she had on her chest, each of them fit into his hand.
Her legs wound around his waist pulling him closer.
He kissed her gently and she gasped as he stuck a finger inside her.
"Robb!" She screamed when his finger hit the spot he'd been aiming for.
"Say it." He growled. She only moaned which made Robb undo his pants and slide off his shirt. His pants fell to a heap at his ankles and he placed his cock at her entrance.
"Say it." Robb demanded. He grew impatient and when he slowly entered her for the first time, Artemis whimpered, "I'm yours."

Robb held his mate in his arms that night. He dared someone to interrupt his high. This was his woman, the woman he was destined to be with. She was curled into his side, the small blanket they laid in was ruined by her blood, but he didn't care. She was his now.
"Robb?" She asked, and he looked down at her.
"We have to go tomorrow. It isn't safe here. And they will surely use the hounds if they catch my scent." She said and Robb nodded.
"In the morning at first light." He promised.

As the horse was packed with all their meat and coins, Grey Wind trotted behind them. Robb had insisted she be on the horse with him, especially now he had her this close.
"The Wall is only men. I'm not even sure they will let us stay." Robb said explaining his world to her.
"Why only men? Shouldn't women be allowed to join the ranks as well?" She asked. Robb chuckled and shook his head.
"Some might not see it as that way. The wall is filled with thieves, rapists, murderers or much like my brother, bastards. They have an oath to take no woman. Which also means that women can't be there to tempt them either." Robb explained.
"Sexists." She muttered and Robb laughed.
"What was your pack like? You never really talk about them." He asked her. Artemis chuckled and thought of her family.
Her father would surely be scouring one end of the earth to the other to find her. And her mother would be helping.
"My mother, Lacey, was very beautiful. Everyone loved her as Luna. She would take care of the children as if they were her own, and she was as fierce a warrior as the men who fought for my father, The Alpha." Artemis remembered her mothers hair, and that it smelled like summertime on a sunny day, fresh with coconuts and watermelon, her mothers favorite scents.
"I was trained my whole life to take over as Alpha. My younger brothers were never expected to become Alpha. I had to go to a certain school and once I had been inducted into the pack, I would have gained my power. Each Alpha has a significant power and all of which stem from the elements of the earth. My father's was earth. He could manipulate the ground with the mere touch of his feet and create a flower from nothing but dirt." She explained and Robb smiled. He tried to envision what her life was like, what she wore, how she looked after training for hours each day.
"What exactly was your time, or world?" He asked and she shrugged.
"2021. Though I'm not entirely sure how far in the future or whatever it is. I just know if I'm not back soon, I fear something terrible will happen to my pack." She whispered sadly and Robb grasped her hand.
"What does all this mean? Why do you have a mate from a different time period?" He asked. She shrugged and looked out at the morning sky.
"I'm not connected to my ancestors or the moon goddess here. I have no connection to anyone from my pack." She explained and Robb thought of something before coming to a realization.
"The weirwood tree! My father would go there to worship the old gods of the forest in the godswood and he hardly spoke of them because our mother worshipped the seven." Robb told her and Artemis felt her wolf stir.
"What is it, Diana? Do you sense something?" Diana howled and said, "Yes. Robb is talking of something I've seen before. At home."
Artemis thought deeply of her runs through the woods in her pack. She would even walk in human form through them to find sanctuary at the creek beyond her home.
Until she remembered the tree. It was the most odd thing she'd ever seen, but it was very beautiful during the fall. The leaves would turn different shades of yellow and orange, and the tree had a face in it, almost signifying she was being watched.
"We had something like that in the pack. It was my home away from home. Whenever I was troubled, I would go there and it would give me peace." She told Robb who looked shocked.
"What if, you found a weirwood tree here? And we tried to connect you to your ancestors, to your family?" He asked. She chuckled and looked at him expectantly.
"And leave you all alone?" She teased him and his eyes turned dark. She'd never seen this side of him in their travels. He'd always been quiet, timid at times, and never angry.
"You are mine, now. Wherever you go, I go." Artemis gulped and looked back into his beautiful blue eyes.
"We have to get to your brother." She brushed him off and he looked back ahead with a clenched jaw.
She wasn't going anywhere, Robb know that for a fact. He'd soon sell his soul to a white Walker before letting the only thing in his life worth holding onto go.
