Kendrick's POV:
I knew this was a bad idea. I watched as Ashley sat down, and looked at what Marcie had set out.
"So, I'm guessing you wanted to talk about something?" Ashley said, looking at the sandwiches set out.
"Not me, you and Kendrick though." Marcie looked at us, "I'll be back."
She pulled her phone out, and walked up stairs, "Don't wait up on me!" She called.
I looked at Ashley, she seemed tense. But I was to so.
"So, how have you been?" I asked. She looked up, and shrugged,
"Fine." She took a sandwich from the plate, "You?" I looked at my arm, and shrugged, "Managing."
"That's good." She said, and looked up the stairs. "Marcie's sure taking her time."
"Yeah." I said, looking up the stairs also.
"Listen, about Dylan." My heart sunk. She looked at me finally.
"I'm guessing we're done then." I sigh, and look anywhere but at her.
"No, that's the reason I'm even mentioning this. I wanted to say, it was all Dylan, I didn't know why he was at my house. He showed up, and started to dance with me for some reason, then. . ."
I laughed bitterly, "Oh. Are you sure?" She glared at me.
"Dude, really? I'm just trying to fix this." I stood up, and walked into the living room. I wasn't going to listen to this.
"Kendrick! Please, I'm dead serious! It was all him."
"Bullshit." I snapped.
She stopped in her tracks. "No, I don't lie to you Kendrick, you know that!"
"Oh yeah? I know you like him more then me! Just admit it already!"
"But I don't!" She yelled.
"THEN WHY WAS HE AT YOUR HOUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE!?" my anger was building up. I couldn't hold it in anymore.
"I DONT KNOW!" She was almost crying.
"YEAH, YOU DO!"
"NO! I honestly don't know."
"See. Your lying again." I snapped.
"STOP IT! IM NOT! WHAT HAPPENED BETTWEEN ME AND DYLAN WASNT ANYTHING! But now I'm not so sure." Venom leaked in her last words.
"Fine. Go ahead, go find Dylan, tell him he won. Looks like we are done."
"I will." She choked, and ran outside.
I clenched my fists, and forced the tears away. She hates me now. Everyone does.
"Well, good job." Marcie said out of now where.
"WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU!?" I yelled. She sighed.
"Kendrick, that's not important. Now, think, do you really want to lose a perfect girl to a jerk like Dylan."
"She likes him more then me!" I snapped.
"No, oh God no." She walked over to me, and put both her hands on my shoulders. "I did some research on Dylan. Apparently, he's been charged for kidnapping and . . ."
My eyes widened. "Oh no. . ."
"Go get her, don't let her slip away like that."
"Wait. . . That means. . . Oh my god." I smacked my forehead. "IM SO STUPID!"
Marcie chuckled. "Go! You're wasting time!"
I sighed, "Thanks Marcie." She smiled, "Go!"
I bolt out the door, forgetting my shoes.
Ashley's POV:
I was stupid for running away like that. But maybe it was true. I was in love with Ken. But now. . .
Dylan. It's all his fault. I wanted to stab him. He wasn't suppose to come into my life. He was suppose to go and live somewhere else.
But he chose here. And that's what happened. I honestly wanted to stab him.
I heard foot steps behind me, and I turned around. Kendrick stopped a few feet away. "Ashley! Please hear me out!"
"Why?" The rain was coming down harder. "Because I didn't know. Because I'm an idiot. Because I'm blind." He stepped closer.
"Ashley, you where right, you always are. I'm sorry for not believing you." he stepped closer.
"Please, don't leave me. Youre the best thing that has happened in my life. I'm just a lost soul, and you found me." He took my numb hands.
"I know I'm getting all poetic, but really, I don't ever want to see you leave me. I want to be with you everyday." He kissed my hands, "Please, forgive me?"
In any normal day, I would be blushing. But all I could think about now, is how he looked so sad. Like I was glass. And he was watching me shatter. I looked down.
"I'm sorry to." I whispered.
"Don't be." he was so close, closer then he has been in awhile. I looked up at him.
"Then you don't be."
He smiled, "Does that mean I'm forgiven?"
"Almost." I finally did what I've been waiting for.
I kissed him.
We pulled away, and Kendrick smiled. "I'm glad we're okay." I smiled.
"Talk about a Chick-flick movie." He said, and hugged me.
"You don't have any shoes."
"Great on ruining the moment."
I laughed. I full on laugh. It felt good to laugh, and have someone I love hugging me.
"I need to work something out with Marcie." I whispered.
"Yeah, it's quiet chilly out here anyway."
