Love

What do people mean when they say they love you?

When you are born your parents say they love you but is that always true

Once you start getting older it feels less and less true

What about in friendships?

Usually it means that they care about you and will be there when your down

From my experience, that's not true

Friends lie, the hurt, and manipulate
They make you feel like you mean something to them and will throw you under the bus for their own benefit

Now what about in romantic relationships?

I ask that as an honest question

July 8th 2019, I met this guy, dark skin, gorgeous smile, played football, loved Disney movies, and claimed... he loved me

A couple weeks pass, he blocks me on everything, me being the clingy girlfriend I am, try everything to get in contact with him, mistake number one

I let him back in and then a week and a half later, he says he likes someone new... so we break up... mistake number two

I let him in again, because I honestly started to feel special and like someone truly loved me, and now he's gone, blocked me again for no reason... but I am not making that mistake again

But here is where my question comes, did he ever really love me? Or did he love the idea of having a girlfriend?

I honestly loved him, I put all of my energy into him, stayed up all night to talk to him, I truly cared about him, and what did he do... he played me, he took my heart and broke it beyond repair

I thought he was the one, but now I have to sit and ask myself, is it because of him, or am I not right for anyone?
