A horse whimper made its way from Minny's throat as she fought the darkness that encased her, trapping her with icy fingers of dread. She hugged herself tighter against the pain. She could barely even hear anything any more, her sight was useless and her ears were cake with dried blood and muck that had gathered during her three years of imprisonment. The flickering beat of her own heart was really the only thing she felt that didn't cause her agonising pain. Fear froze her body, the painful coldness of her cell turned her blood to ice. Her world was dark, cold, painful. Terror ruled her thoughts, pain restricted her movements and insanity stole her voice.
Her breathing was laboured, her breaths shallow to stop them hitting the jagged cage of her broken ribs, long ago shattered for being thrown around like a lifeless doll and the daily beatings she received by the Pokémon who loved to torment her life.
Minny was in to much pain to notice the door opening, she didn't realise someone had entered her room until a claw was wrapped tightly around her throat and yanking her into the air. A pitiful squeal of pain and fear came from Minny's raw throat but was ignored as the deeply bruised skin was pinched tightly by the claw.
"Aww am I hurting you?" Drapion sneered, tightening his grip, watching as the Buneary struggled to breath for several moments before relaxing his grip.
After several minutes of pained panting for air, Minny spoke, her words hardly existing as she struggled to plea. "P-please let g-go." She whimpered, trembling in fear, knowing she would be ignored and her cries were pointless.
"Aww, you'd like that wouldn't you? To go running back to your little Beartic friend."
The Buneary flinched back and sniffled in his grip, closing her sightless eyes. She'd given up her pleas long ago, given up hope that Ice would rescue her, take her home to safety. Her spirt broken as she remained silent, knowing her cries would be ignored or turned into hurtful remarks. Tears pooled in her colourless eyes, falling like tiny crystals as her eyes flooded. For three years since Drapion pulled her from the river Minny had to suffer under his horrible abuse to the point her body would no longer obey her wish for movement.
For hours, he teased her, tormented her already frail mind. He'd hit her for amusement, listening as her shocked cries ran through the air like honey. She tried to brace herself but the Scorpion Pokémon would always hit her when she felt she was safe, something she couldn't prevent. Drapion did eventually grow bored of his snide remarks, throwing the trembling frame of his prisoner against the back wall without a care.
Minny cried out in pain, feeling her already broken rib cage shift beneath her fur as her spine seemed to crack as she crumbled to the ground. Pain burst though her chest with her impact against wall and then again to the floor. She cried out as she curled into a tight ball, trying to shield herself from Drapion, from further pain, from everything around her that she couldn't stop. The pain that ran through her body, the hurt Drapion had inflicted on her heart she couldn't stop, couldn't protect herself anymore.
Even though alive Minny felt dead inside. Her very being shattered into thousands of tiny pieces that no one was willing to pick up and hold together. She had never felt so utterly helpless, worthless and broken in her life. She listened as Drapion left, waiting to once more be left in her defining silence, for the voices in her head to resume their teasing chants before she let tears fall and sobs ring through to empty ears.
Above ground, little to Minny's knowledge, Ice and Bubble we searching around the berry fields, desperate to find her. The thought would have filled with hope where she felt despair, knowing she wasn't forgotten by the Pokémon go the surface. Ice was following the faint hint of a sent he had picked up, the slight change in smell caused by tiny holes that brought air below ground. While Bubble followed the stream, looking for a spot where a stick could of been thrown into the river. Neither knew of torture Minny was going through but both were determined to find her before returning home.
