Bernie changed into her scrubs and was back on the ward. This time her head was fully back in the game, first on her list was to get through the paperwork that had piled up on her desk knowing that before she could get back to actual doctoring she had to deal with the thing she hated most. It was a quiet day on the trauma was there was a 3 car collision with only 2 major injuries so she was able to get through it all hoping, making sure not to say it aloud, that a majax wasn't called just this one day so that she could get it out of the way and over and done with before having to panic. It was soon time for her break and she went back to visit Marcus and Serena, really just an excuse to go in a long walk drinking her coffee trying not to go outside. Soon her break was over and was going back to spend a few more hours in solitude ticking boxes and signing her name. This is what she was looking forward to most when she left the army and getting to do it in one day really made her day. Not.
