A/n. 2/3 of a triple update
"Fuck."
Aspen and Asia synchronise.
Danica had only tagged along for any potential entertainment Zephyr most likely would have provided by retaliating to their interrogations.
Not only were they not able to question him about his relationship with their newest resident, but they weren't going to be able to dissuade either of the two determined men in the ring from throwing their troubles into a fight and beating one another bloody.
Everyone knew to find him here when he ran from the mansion so here they came.
What they didn't anticipate to find was their usually level headed, timid and sweet brother Valentine staring soullessly back at Zephyr, fists raised.
The remainder of the room clearly shared similar sentiments if the betting lines were anything to go by.
Zephyr was notoriously unforgiving, brutal and undefeated in the ring. His line was bending around three corners of the room.
The line to bet on the shy and reserved but kind Valentine Kendi Hart consisted of one person and even they were hiding their identity under a long, ominous black cloak.
A phone rang and everyone looked to Aspen as he raised it to his ear.
"He's here Jasper... but so is Kendi. They're about to fight." His voice is unwavering and honest as always.
Three beeps ring into his ear signalling Jasper had responded by hanging up on him.
Aspen would give him less than a minute before he vamped himself to their side, Milos in tow.
"This should be- where's Dani gone?" Aspen changes stops himself with the question as he turns to see only Asia by his side.
Asia mirrors his frowning expression as she turns to find her partner in crime absent.
They both scan the room only to roll their eyes as they find her in line at the concession stand purchasing an extra large drink and a hot dog.
The gawking, scrawny tattooed teen manning the till accepts her flirtatious wink as a payment and a reward as she struts away without paying a penny.
It's typical behaviour from Danica Marshall.
Everyone knows it and yet they still fawn over her and her wolfish charm, despite her being married.
"Really Dani?" Aspen half heartedly questions once she's in hearing range.
"What? You can't watch such riveting entertainment and not buy a snack to eat in your front row seat." She shrugs, slurping on her fizzy drink.
"You didn't buy anything." Asia highlights.
"Sure I did. People would pay thousands for a second of attention from me. It was the best deal of that little boy's life." She counters as she weaves through bodies to reach the front of the crowd.
Once she's seated in a spare seat in someone's private booth, she wiggles her fingers in greeting to Valentine who is the first to notice the three.
He's quick to dismiss them by looking away and pretending they don't exist. Something he has allot of experience in doing.
Especially with Danica.
Aspen and Asia slide in the booth beside her and the burly looking lady and man paying for the seats gawk at them in awe.
Their family were royalty in Erridan so the public's reactions were always the same. Whether they were fans of them or not. They lawfully had to be respectful of them.
And that's why compassionate Asia and caring Aspen had no hesitation in pinching somebody else's booth.
Because they knew there would be no disputes about it.
The same couldn't be said about their siblings.
"Move." Jasper demanded from across the room before he'd even made it to the booth.
The lights had dimmed and the fight was starting.
He'd made it in perfect time, shortly joined by Milos who was tucking his big white wings away as he walked through the crowd that parted for him without him saying a word.
Another perk of being an angel with a heavenly presence that was felt by all.
The man and women jumped to their feet and scattered away, making room for the legacies.
"What is this about?" Jasper shouts over the chanting and cheering.
"I think we all know who this is about." Milos raises a knowing brow, keeping his eyes locked on the fight whilst everyone turns to hear his answer.
"Tempest." Aspen breathes in response.
