Pt.28

After laying in bed with Eddie for a little I drifted off to sleep and just brushed off what the guys said about me because now I understood that they were just jealous.

I slept for a couple hours before waking up in the middle of the night sweating. I had the worst nightmare I've had in months, and it was about Eddie. I got up to get a cup of water before zoning out about the dream. Eddie had got into a big fight with one of the guys and it gor physical. It was about me again and Eddie just wanted to protect me. He ended up getting beat so badly he was hospitalized and we couldn't finish the trip. I zoned back into reality and I didn't realize I was shaking badly. I placed the cup down in a rush and tried to fall back asleep. After thinking about the dream I finally was able to fall back asleep next to Eddie.

-timeskip to morning-

I woke up really late and was actually in the van. I assumed Eddie took me to the van instead of just waking me up so I looked over to the drivers seat and thankfully he was there driving.

"Well look who's finally awake," he says looking over at me for a second then back at the road.

"How close are we?" I ask.

"Just a couple more hours and then we're in sweet old California," he says all excited.

We would've been in California a lot sooner if we didn't have to stop so often for one of the guys to go piss. But either way I was just happy to be out of Hawkins. I had never left Hawkins til now so I had no clue what to expect. The guys all had a plan though, a real dumb plan but I had no plan so I had to go with theirs. The plan was once we arrived in California they all wanted to find a place to rent so we could live there which was dumb cause we had little money. I had suggested living in the van for awhile and work to save money for a place but they all said no, except Eddie. So then I guess after we found a place we were all supposed to split up and find a venue for the band to play at to get money and to get popular. Which wasn't a bad idea to be honest and that's as far as they got with the plan. So we just had to go from there when we got to California.

-timeskip to arriving in California-

"We made it boys!" Eddie shouts as the boys holler in the back.

I look over at Eddie and I've never seen him this excited. Besides when I first said I love you to him. He was all excited that we ran a red light because he wasn't paying attention. None of us knew what part of California we were in so we decided to stop at a gas station to see if we could find out. Sure enough there was some newspaper and I found out that we were in San Francisco. I think the guys wanted to go to Los Angeles but for now we're gonna stay here. Eddie filled up the van then we headed out to find a spot to live for a little. To my surprise, we actually found a small affordable duplex. I have to admit, the guys aren't as bad as I really thought they were. We ended up getting the keys the same day a couple hours after we called to rent it out. It was just a small 2 bed 1 bath so the guys had to share a room. I decided to let them all have the big one since there is three of them that's gonna be in there.

After settling in Eddie wanted to take me on a small date to the beach. So I got ready and then we walked to the beach since it wasn't far from our place now.

"I'm glad you're here with me," he says smiling.

"I'm glad im here with you too eddie," I say smiling too.

We continue to walk to the beach talking about random stuff. Once we finally made it to the beach Eddie and I walked to some bench to sit. He had this litte bag he was carrying around and sat it on the table. He pulled out some pb&j sandwiches and water bottles.

"I'm no cook so this is what we're eating," he says.

"It's fine i love pb&j," I say grabbing a sandwich and eating it.

We eat and talk for a little and I start trying to convince Eddie to get in the water with me. But he doesn't wanna mess up his hair, as if it isn't already messy. I grab his hand and run towards the water dragging him a long. He refuses to get in the water so I get in and splash some at him. He smirks then runs up to me and grabs me throwing me over his shoulder. He runs farther into the water and falls in. He picks me back up and puts me on his back. He runs back to shore and sits me down before taking off his shirt. He tosses it at me and runs back to the water. For someone who didn't want to mess up his hair he sure does love the water now. I take my shirt off but leave my shorts on and run after him. I catch up to him and we're standing in the water that was about up to my waist. The sun was starting to set and where we were standing you could see the sunset perfectly on the horizon.

"I love you," Eddie says looking down at me, "I really do love you."

"I love you too like a lot," I say smiling.

He picks me up and spins around, "you're the most beautiful girl."

"You think so?" I ask already knowing his answer.

"Of course I think so! You're literally my dream girl dude," he says putting me down.

"We'll you're my dream boy eddie," I say getting on my tippy toes to kiss him.

We kiss for a second before heading back to shore to watch the sunset and to dry off a bit before we headed home. As we were watching the sunset I layed back in the sand and so did Eddie. I look over at him and started thinking about how I even got lucky to have him in my life. He's the most perfect human being I've ever met, not a single flaw. This is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. Without a doubt for sure.
