Chapter 11

Urane laid down in the giant bed. "Man this sure is nice." Urane said. Amaris looked at him and said, "I agree, but it's kinda weird you got your room all to yourself." "Well, the entrance exam determines what kind of room you get here. The top five scores get a room all to themselves." Urane responded. "Ah, I see. That makes sense. You are incredibly powerful, no wonder you got the top score." Amaris said. "I was thinking about something earlier, remember that tome I got before we came here?" Urane said. "Yea. What about it?" Amaris responded. "There was something weird towards the end of it, but I didn't have time to look into it earlier, so care to give me a hand?" Urane said. "Sure," Amaris responded. Urane pulls out the tome and skims through the pages. "So, a lot of these spells maximize elemental attributes." Urane said. "They could be useful to you, you should learn as many as you can," Amaris said while looking at the tome. Urane nods in agreement. "I will learn them later, but first I want to figure out that weird feeling." He continues to go through the pages until he reaches a page with chains across it. He tries to turn the page, but a magical barrier from the chains stopped him. He looks at Amaris and said, "Take a look at this barrier, do you think I could break it if I find the source of its mana?" "Source of mana? What is that?" Amaris asked confused. "When I did my training with Draxe, I learned about what mana is and where it comes from. I learned that all mana comes from something called a mana source which holds the mana together. Everything made of mana or uses mana has a source. After I learned about that, I figured out how to find a mana source. So it stands to reason that I could destroy it if I find it." Urane said. Urane closed his eyes and concentrated on the tome. He touched his hand to the chains and tried to feel the mana. As he went deeper into the abyss of magic, he soon found himself in front of the core. He created a ball of fire and destroyed the core of the mana source. He awoke to find the chains destroyed. He could now read what the chains were covering. He read, "The forbidden arts." He flipped the page to find forbidden spells that were all incredibly powerful. The first spell that caught his eye was a skill called Silent cast. This was a skill that allowed him to use a spell without an incantation. He learned it and continued. Several pages later he came across two unique spells. These were Depth of the Abyss and Forbidden Awakening. He learned both spells. Depth of the Abyss is a skill that allows him to ask any question, and get an answer from an all-knowing sage. Forbidden Awakening allowed someone to evolve into a higher being if they were meant to be of a different race. He activated Depth of the Abyss and asked the sage, "Great sage, that resides inside of the Abyss, answer my question. Am I supposed to be a race beyond that of a human?" The great sage answered, "Yes, you are supposed to be of a race known as a Shaylin." Urane after hearing this information used Forbidden Awakening. Dark energy wrapped around his body. It completely covered him and thus he evolved. When the energy was dispursed a second later, Urane was drastically changed. He was 5 feet, 7inches tall; but now he is 6 feet, 5 inches. He was much more physically built, and his muscles looked as if a god had placed each one by hand. His body looked as if he had been carved from marble. His skin was extremely beautiful as if he was glistening. His hair became much longer and silver. His eyes became a deep Crimson, that sparkled like diamonds. He became the pinnacle of beauty, the illustrious Shaylin race. Amaris was completely shocked when she saw him. Her eyes filled with tears, and she lunged at him. Upon reaching him, they shared a kiss more beautiful and romantic than any other. She held him close and said, "Darling, you became a Shaylin. This means we can be together forever." "I'm confused Amaris. Why couldn't we have been together before?" Urane asked. "Well, since we were different races, we never would have been able to conceive children. Humans and Shaylins are very different, and thus it would have never worked. But now, we are both Shaylin. This means we can have a family together in the future." Amaris said with the biggest smile Urane had ever seen. The two held each other close and cuddled. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Urane got up and answered the door. When he opened the door, he saw a physically built man who was only slightly shorter than Urane. "Are you Urane?" The man asked. "Yes, I am. Who might you be?" Urane answered. "My name is Dekt, I run this school." The man said. "Oh. Come in." Urane said. Dekt came into the room after Urane. "You look different than the pictures I've seen of you." Dekt said. "You were a human, but I don't think you are anymore. So what are you doing now? And why did you change to look like this?" Urane sat down on the bed and said, "I used a special spell that I learned from a tome to become my true self." "True self?" Dekt questioned. "Such a spell would fall into the forbidden category." Urane nodded, "I'm aware." "Well normally, using forbidden spells would warrant special action. But that's not going to happen. But I have to ask, do you know how much stronger you became?" Dekt said. "Urane took a moment to assess himself and then answered, "I am three times stronger. My physical abilities increased drastically, and my magical power is exponentially higher. On top of that, I learned basic skills and understanding of all the attributes I possess." Urane said. Dekt nodded and said, "It appears you became much stronger than you were. My suggestion to you now is to get more accustomed to your new body and power." Urane got up and said, "I agree with you. I think I am going to go out now. I suppose I will see you later." Amaris got up with him and the two left the room. Dekt left the room after them and went in the opposite direction to his chambers. To himself, he started thinking, "I wonder if I should have told him about the Shaylin. Probably best that I didn't, I don't want him distraught. At least he has that female Shaylin." At the same time, Urane was also thinking to himself, "On top of what I told Dekt, I obtained more passive and special skills. I obtained passive regeneration, resistance to fire, and a skill called predator which makes me stronger the more times my attacks connect. My body is also as resilient as steel. I also obtained the special skills of The Devil's Wrath and Dark Heart. The Devil's Wrath causes fire to build up inside an opponent with every successful attack which eventually will burn an opponent to death after a certain amount of hits. Dark Heart causes an opponent to take half the damage done to me upon themselves. It also causes the opponent to be slower and weaker for a bit." As Amaris and Urane left the school grounds, they arrived at a park to test the limits of Urane's new power. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Urane saw someone he knew. The two walked over to find Lillie sitting on a bench in the park, staring up at the moon. He walked up behind her but stopped a bit behind her when he heard that she was singing. Her voice radiated through the area with beauty and poise. Urane and Amaris stopped for a moment, to listen to her incredible voice. The two of them found her voice incredibly soothing to hear and were captivated by it. Suddenly Lillie turned after a moment and saw the two of them. Upon seeing them, she stopped singing and said, "Urane, you look so different, but I know that it's still you. I could never forget you, no matter how you look." Urane smiled and said, "That's good to hear, Lillie. I'm glad that you could still recognize me, and I was captivated by your voice." Lillie's face became bright red and she said, "Oh, Urane. It's almost too much for me to handle. My heart beats faster and faster every time I see you." Amaris was watching this closely and was getting more jealous by the second. She then grabbed Urane and said, "Urane is the love of my life and You cannot have him, your dog. Learn your place and sit." Offended by this comment Lillie scoffs and said, "Do you know how much Urane cares for me, he kissed me on my hand. I bet that's more than anything he's done to you." Lillie's face was brimming with arrogance. Amaris laughs and said, "If that is all he has done, do you think he cares more for you than he does for me?" Amaris then grabbed Urane and kissed him on the lips, then made out with him for several moments. Lillie, extremely jealous of this display, grabbed Urane from Amaris and made out with him as well. After Lillie stopped making out with Urane, Amaris and she glared at each other like they wished to murder each other with just their eyes. Urane then steps between the two of them and holds out a hand in front of their faces. He then said, "Calm down both of you. This is not something to be so worked up about. So calm the hell down." Both of them stopped glaring at each other and said fine. Just then, Amaris fell over unconscious. Urane didn't even have time to react, and then he saw it. There was a dagger lodged into the back of Amaris' head. Suddenly, Urane caught sight of the three men who had thrown the dagger at Amaris. The three men were cloaked in dark robes which covered their whole bodies. They then ran off in different directions. Urane turns to Lillie and said, "I know the two of you have your differences, but please help her. I will be back. I have some business to attend to." Lillie nods and said, "Go Urane. I will make sure she is fine." Dark energy seeped through Urane. Burning fury activated the strongest it's ever been. As if he teleported, Urane was instantly gone. Within an instant, he had located all of the robed men. Within another second, he had grabbed all of them and cornered them in a back alley of the town. They threw daggers at Urane, trying to stop him. However, he just grabbed them all within a fraction of a second. He then looked at them and saw they were infused with holy magic. "Do you think, such weak holy magic could work on me? Are you an idiot?" Urane said with extreme malice in his eyes. Urane then realized that Amaris didn't have such a resilient body and is extremely vulnerable to holy magic. Urane's anger then grew ten times what he was previously. He then used his dark power to block all exits. After that, he said to the robed me, "If you want to leave with your lives, you will tell me everything." Just then a power awoke within Urane. This power allowed him to intimidate an opponent until they told him everything they knew about what he questioned. However, it only works if he is in a state of absolute rage and malice. The spell took its effect on the robbed men and they fell to their knees. The one-robed man that seemed to be in charge of the other two told Urane everything he wanted to know. "We were given a job by Duke Calimika to kill that girl that stays by you. He wants you to suffer for all the money you have cost him." "Money? What money?" Urane said. "The duke is in with the royal party. They are pressing their agenda to get the princess to inherit the throne over the prince who is backed by the noble party. And if the princess does not inherit the throne, the royal party will be disbanded and the noble party will take over. And the same for the noble party if the prince doesn't get the throne. The princess lost favor with the king due to what happened at the banquet you attended. This caused the royal party to have to put tons of money into winning back her favor. Duke Calimika also wishes for his son to marry the princess, so he becomes the most powerful man in the kingdom. That would be due to him being able to manipulate his son and the princess. Therefore, he put eighty percent of the funds into reinstating the princess. Now, this being said, he despises you. You have cost him so much, that he wishes for your downfall and descent into ultimate suffering. Therefore, he found out that the girl that is always with him is extremely weak in holy magic. He then enlisted us to bless these daggers which also have a curse on them. They cause deterioration of the body and soul if hit with one. So if nothing is done to help her son, she will die a very painful and slow death." The robbed men told Urane. Urane nodded and burning fury got stronger. Within a second, he decapitated all of the robed men. With the few moments the men had left, they returned to their senses and had an eternity of torment as they died. Urane then used his incredible speed to go to Duke Calimika's house. "Duke Calimika, there is an intruder in the house!" A guard said to the duke and his family. suddenly there was a sword through the guard's chest and he fell to the ground. Urane then walked into the room where the duke and his whole family were. A smile that was from hell itself was sstrewnaccross Urane's face. "Hello, Duke Calimika, lovely evening isn't it." "WHO ARE YOU! WHY ARE YOU HERE!" The Duke shouted. Urane laughed a maniacal evil laugh and said, "I am Urane Zaproast, and I am here to collect your heads. I'm a collector you see." "A collector?" The Duke's wife said with fear in her voice. suddenly the Duke pulled out a crystal from his pocket and said, "Lord of darkness, I call upon you. Come to this world and kill my enemy." After he said this, the crystal drew in dark energy, and from the darkness appeared a higher demon. The demon then said, "I am Zelkt. Who dares to summon one such as me." He then sees the duke and sighs. The Duke said, "Demon, I command you to kill this bastard." Zelkt takes one look at Urane and gets down on his hands and knees and begins to bow to Urane. The Duke then shouts, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU STUPID DEMON. GET YOUR ASS UP RIGHT NOW AND KILL HIM!!!!" Zelkt sticks up a middle finger at the Duke and said, "Fight him yourself, why would I ever fight someone superior to me? You must be the stupidest Duke ever to anger a Shaylin." The Duke is shaking with anger. The Duke's daughter upon seeing this runs at Urane with a sword in hand and shouts, "I will kill you bastard!" She swings the sword at Urane, but he grabs it and breaks it in his hand. He then hits her into a wall breaking three of her ribs in the process. He then walks over to her and said, "I will be your executioner. I will not give you a chance to say goodbye to your family. Time to die." Urane the smashes her face in. Her face turns from a once very beautiful girl to a distorded bloddy blob. She dies instantly from his punch. He then turns to see the Duke's son coming at him with a spear only to have the spear smashed in half and all of his limbs ripped off his body by Urane. The duke yells at Urane to stop what he is doing. Urane doesn't respond. He then grabs the Duke's wife and lights her on fire. As she is burning to death, he grabs her by her head and throws her through the window into the garden, which begins a series of events that light the outside of the house completely on fire. Suddently, after Urane killed those three, he obtained a new spell. This spell allows him to take in magic of a certain type, and then use all the stored up magic in one spell. He turn to Zelkt and said, "Zelkt. I can tell that you hate these assholes just as much as I do, so lend me your strength." Zelkt nods and said, "I will do anything to be useful to you my lord." Urane smiles his demented smile again and said, "Im going to use a spell that holds in magic. Im sure you can wield curse magic. Pour all of your cuse magic into the spell." Zelkt nods and gets up. Urane creates a sphere of mana. Upon the creation of the sphere, Zelkt pours every ounce of curse magic he posseses into the sphere. After he had done so, Urane turns to the Duke and said, "Messing with a being of immense darkness is the best way to meet your death fast. However, hell is too good for you." Urane then held the sphere above his head and used the ultimate curse spell, "Annilation of king and country" All of the stored up curse magic is released on the Duke. The curse causes the Duke to go to a dimension within Urane's mind. For five hundred billion years, he suffers the worst torture imaginable and unimaginable. For the next five hundred billion years, he is forced to watch as his family suffers the same torture he went through. This trillion years was only thirty seconds in the real world. When the Duke came back to reality, his body corroded and he slowly melted completely while still alive. After his had completely melted away, Urane maniaclly laughed again. Zelkt then said to Urane, "Because the Duke is dead, I can now return to the underworld. Thank you for freeing me, and if you ever wish to visit the underworld, hit me up and i'll show you all the good things in it." Zelkt then disapeared. Urane then went back to where Amaris and Lillie were at. He knelt down by Amaris and pressed his hand ontop the spot the dagger got her. Urane had kept a bit of curse magic from Zelkt and he used a spell with this power. This power was called Cursed heal. Urane was able to heal Amaris, by taking her pain and suffering onto himself. Thus after the spell occured, his entire right arm was corrupted and deteriorated away. Normally his regeneration would be able to instantly recover it, but due to the holy magic, it would take over a month to regenerate it. The holy magic also caused all of his abilities and power to be one tenth the strength they were previously. After this, he fell unconscious and Amaris was able to wake up from the attack. Lillie and Amaris carried Urane back to his room and put him into the bed. They then fell asleep waiting for him to wake up.
