Finally the Darkling is dead, or at least for the moment since the previous chapter. Don't worry, The Darkling romance is not ended yet. To be true, there wasn't much romance, actually I counted up that they had at least three kisses in the story, one from Season one of Shadow and bone and the long kisses at the Winter Fete.
It's been more on the pain and torture he inflicted on her when she was always pushed to her limits, whether dealing with Mal's death, dealing with rape trauma, dealing with her loneliness, dealing with being a princess or becoming a Queen. And the love story with Nikolai and her push to his brother and sisterhood with her ladies.
Now Alina's journey will continue but this time be solely focused on her crossing the seas and returning to the Dothraki as per Daneares journey of becoming the Dragon Queen. Which Alina is.
I didn't like how Zoya was connected with Dragons, that should have been Alina and so it is.
A time skip will come soon, maybe a couple months into the journey. Though it will start off with Alina's relationships with her friends and the beautiful, humorous (even), moments that she goes through with them.
Including jealousy, trauma, drinking, nightmares and maybe even someone's marriage. Also a little bit of a Dark Alina part.

Alina Stormborn, a name that will soon become history in Ravka and Westeros. Alina may well not use her powers so much as she would discover her new abilities. She is the child of legend, the daughter of the Mad King, Dark Sorceress, Queen of Light and Queen of Shadow.
Ulla, will also come into the picture as The Darkling isn't Alina's only enemy.
