Bruno started to fidget under the gaze of Liliana. Liliana took notice and cleared her throat. "Well so...I guess I should start out small. Have you been here the whole time?" Bruno nodded and started to explain, "Yeah...when I um...left I already knew about a spot in the wall that led to the insides of the house. Pepa, my sister, created a hole in the wall one day when she started her um...women-hood. Casita for some reason didn't fix it and my mom just decided to cover it with a painting. I just took advantage of that I guess." He shrugged and looked away, making eye contact made him obviously nervous.
"Hmm it's weird how one minute you're so scary and the next you look so...not? I don't know, but I'm starting to think you're not as mean and scary as you try to be." Liliana smirked, which caused Bruno to blush and fidget even more. "I...well...I never meant to try and scare you. I'm not mean or anything...it's just hard to trust that you won't go tell everyone about me. I just can't be found. Nobody will accept me back...my own family has disowned me and hates me. I hear all they say behind closed doors. Well...what they sing anyway. They love to say that , "We don't talk about Bruno!" but they still happen to mention things about me. Half of it isn't even based off the truth."
Bruno looked sad as he explained it, which made Liliana sympathize with him. "Well, now that you mention it, I've always thought that you "prophesying" a fish dying was odd. Her fish had a short lifespan anyway. But to be fair, you did just leave without explanation. What was anyone to think other than you did something bad to leave? Your family has kept their lips sealed shut about your disappearance. Everyone is so curious that they come up with their own "explanation". It's only natural I guess.
Bruno nods but still looks sad. "Yeah I guess. But I did leave for a reason. You wouldn't understand, nobody ever could." Liliana was taken aback, but she regained her composure fast. "How do you mean? I can always try my best! It can't be that seri-"
"Stop, please just stop." Bruno turned around to look away from Liliana. "You would never understand, just saying that is enough proof. Don't even try to act like you care. Nobody ever really cares, not for "screw up" Bruno". Look, I think you should go." Liliana heard him sniffle, obviously trying not to let her hear him cry. She almost went to go, but she knew leaving him after what he said would only hurt him worse. She didn't want to be the one who confirmed his worst fears. "No. I won't go Bruno. Look, we really don't know each other, so you're right that I won't understand your situation. That also means you can't be so quick to judge me though. You don't know my life story. So just give me a chance, ok?"
Bruno started cry a bit louder, still trying to hold it in, "Please...just go. Please..." Liliana's heart broke a little. She reached her arms around him in a hug. She didn't even know this man very well, but she knew she hated to see him hurting like this. It hurt her so much, to the point she started to cry as well. Bruno froze from the sound. "Are you crying?" He sounded genuinely confused but decided to just let it happen. Liliana just hugged him tighter and they both just cried without judging the other.
~30 minutes later~
Bruno woke up and stretched, freezing when he felt something beside him. He turned quickly to check who it was, and he was immediately relieved to see it was Liliana. Wait...I'm getting to comfortable too fast.
Bruno scooted back and looked at her with curiosity. She's so peaceful. And...pretty I guess. Who am I kidding...she's gorgeous. His eyes trailed down from her face to her neck. They kept trailing down to her chest, ending near her thigh. He immediately turned red and looked away, knowing he was being a pervert. Liliana stirred in her sleep and rolled into Bruno. Bruno tried to her off of him, but she just rolled closer. She straddled her legs around him and threw herself on top of him.Ah!!! No no no no no nooooo. This is NOT happening....
Bruno freaked out and rolled himself off the bed. Thud! Liliana fell with him and ended up on top of him. She awoke with a startle and quickly climbed off of Bruno. "I'm so sorry! I must've fell asleep...I...I should get going. Um...thanks I guess. For letting me sleep and answering some of my questions. I'm gonna...go." Liliana got up quick and left before Bruno could say bye. She ran down the walkways and out the painting. She ran to her room and slammed the door. Breathing heavily, she jumped on her bed and screamed into her pillows.
What the actual hell just happened?!
Liliana got off the bed and got ready for bed. She got into bed and tried to sleep, but it felt impossible. She kept reliving every moment in her head, recounting every touch that occurred between them. "We were so close...it's like something almost happened..." Liliana shrugged it off and closed her eyes to sleep. She started to drift asleep in peaceful slumber. Her dreams immediately started to feature the mysterious Madrigal in the walls. Every moment he touched or spoke to her. It lit a flame in her heart, something she couldn't explain. She had only known him for a few days but he was all she could think about. She didn't know what was happening to her. She dreamed about how she had hugged him so tight. How they had let everything out with each other despite being total strangers. Eventually they both calmed down and fell asleep. Yes it was a nice sleep. Wait."WE SLEPT TOGETHER?!?!?!?!"
