Reality

..the end of a dream that is. Justice immediately woke up in a state of shock breathing heavily

Justice: Jesus Christ! where happened, who's going on, what am I?! why am I?! when is orange blue!?

Justice looks around the room and sees Madeline comforting him. She wakes up 30 seconds later while Justice tries to catch his breath and snap back to reality.

Madeline: Morning Justice, what's up? How'd you sleep?

Justice: ...you know what I don't even think or KNOW if I slept or not.. I think I had a nightmare, Madeline..!!

Madeline: Aww I'm sorry about that - what was the nightmare about?

Justice: Well.. it took place literally right on this bed, I got out to explore the house. Then all of a sudden you come downstairs and stepped on me while being unaware of your action.

Madeline: Well then you definitely had a nightmare - you're alive right now and you're comforted. It's okay, it's probably been because of everything that went down yesterday.

Justice: I guess that's true.. I do have a question though..

Madeline: Yeah what's up? :) *she says while trying to sit up*

Justice: I know it's a nightmare and all.. but you wouldn't squish me, stomp me or kill me ever.. right? I don't know - it just feels weird that my nightmare out of all the people that tried to kill me, was now you that did the same thing. I'm just so confused, I'm still in the process of trying to trust you-

Madeline: Hey shhh.. Justice, I know how you feel and I would do no such thing I promise. Trust me, I would've only squashed you if I knew you were a bad person, and you're still here. The fact that you trusted me enough to help comfort you means so much to me you have no idea. Not even the giants in my dimension would trust me with anything. I'd be a monster to finally have something that was so rare for me to have to then throw it away like it meant nothing.

Justice listened very carefully to what Madeline had to say about him and it did nothing but leave him emotional and in tears, "T-that meant s-so m-much to me.. I really can't thank you enough for those kind words. I wish I could hug you right now but I'm just still traumatized by what happened."

Madeline: That's alright..! Here - let's practice bringing back trust. I'm going to bring my hand out on to the bed and we're going to slowly make our way to gaining enough trust to hug.

Madeline brings her hand out on the bed "Go ahead and take your time :)"

Justice slowly walks over to the hand and tests the water out first by putting one hand on her hand, then only one leg on her hand, then he slowly walked onto the hand, the only thing Madeline could do was support and admire his bravery.

Madeline: Good job..! Alright, I'm going to slowly lift my hand, shout the word "stop" if I'm going too fast, alright?

Justice nods and Madeline slowly lifts her hand. Her hand rising is pretty bumpy, but he doesn't mind. They're now meeting at eye level.

Madeline: Alright good..! Now is it okay if I comfort you a bit more?

*she brings her finger up* but Justice is a little hesitant so she brings her finger down and brings him down a little bit

Madeline: Alright we're not there yet, that's okay..! We're going in for a hug alright?

Justice nods and so she brings him closer to her chest to go in for a hug. He felt surrounded with warmth and gained a lot of trust from her.

Justice: Hey Madeline, I think I'm more comfortable with whatever you were going to do with your finger a few minutes ago.

Madeline: That's fine I was just keeping you safe :)

Justice: Well I really enjoyed that trust test. *he says while Madeline's hands are being lowered towards the bed* I think we should get on with our day now.

Madeline: Yeah I agree, stay here while I make some breakfast..!
