THE CORUSCANT BREEZE GENTLY BRUSHED OVER THE GROUP AS THEY LOOK OUT ONTO THE LIT-UP CITY. The buildings were lit up and speeders zoomed past in airlines to head home. Nightgoers started heading out and brightened up the street with their upbeat energy. It was lively and fun.
The group, consisting of Astrid, Anakin, Padme, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan, had found a pretty view on the balcony of a random apartment building. The glass of the railing had been broken a long time ago leaving just the metal that had outlined it. Anakin's and Ahsoka's legs hung over the edge of the balcony, while Astrid, Padme, and Obi-Wan leaned against the wall—all watching the city dance to the music.
Obi-Wan had shown up with Ahsoka wanting to check up on Astrid. He then dropped the bombshell of how he knew of their relationship but could honestly care less as long as they were happy. It was a shock to no one because they were aware of how bad the two were at being a secret. Astrid liked Obi-Wan's company, he was like the grumpy older brother that she had lost, so she invited him along.
"If I jumped, do you think I'd survive the fall," Ahsoka asks, taking a bite of the pizza that they'd ordered. The question honestly came out of the blue but for this group, it seemed normal. It was quite an odd mix-up, they'd admit—a senator, an heiress of royalty, a Jedi Master, a Jedi Knight, and a Jedi padawan. Despite this, they all got along very well.

"Totally," Astrid says, picking up a slice of cheese pizza from the box that lay in the middle of the group. She looks over at the padawan, "I'll pay you fifty credits if you–"
"Don't encourage her," Anakin cuts her off, knowing his padawan would definitely jump for credits.
"We should've brought alcohol," Padme blurts out, quickly gathering both Ahsoka and Astrid's attention. Alcohol plus this very high height would be a death sentence but it would be extremely fun. The two older Jedi shake their heads as they see the joy on all three girls' faces at the mention of alcohol.
Obi-Wan shook his head, stroking his beard, "that would be an awful idea. I wouldn't attempt to catch you if you fell."
"Wow, you're such a sweetie," Astrid snickers, taking a bite of her pizza. Her mind was finally off of her infertility and she felt a little better with a group of people she loved so dearly around her. Her face lights up. "I have an idea."

THE GROUP EXCITEDLY CHAT AS THEY ENTER THE PRIVATE ROOM. Astrid's brilliant idea was to go play with some puppies and, of course, everyone agreed. The best pet shop in Coruscant had puppies from almost every planet and they were all well taken care of. Now, they patiently waited for the employee to bring in some fluffy pets.
"I'm telling you now, we are not buying a puppy," Anakin says, holding Astrid's chin so she looks at him. He looked dead serious, but the couple both knew if Astrid really wanted a puppy, he'd get it for her in a heartbeat.
"Yeah, okay," Astrid sarcastically replies with a grin. She pulls away when the door opens and three little puppies run into the room. A small scowl grows on Anakin's face at the loss of contact with her, earning a loud chuckle from Obi-Wan.
Padme immediately grabbed a hold of a small Yorkshire Terrier named Bella, her hand brushing gently against its silky fur. In Ahsoka's arms was a Golden Retriever, Blue, who was extremely excited to be in her hold. On Astrid's lap laid a baby German Shepherd, Klaus.
Klaus was clearly soothed by Astrid's presence because he stayed curled up on her lap. The girl instantly fell in love with the puppy and she knew that he was coming home with them today.
Anakin felt the pure joy Astrid was feeling as she and the girls laughed and played with the fur babies. It warmed his heart to see her smile like this again and if it was because of the dog on her lap, he'd gladly get it for her.
She knew exactly how to get Anakin to agree to take the dog home. Astrid looks up at Anakin with pleading eyes, her lips pressed to a pout, "baby?"
"Fine," Anakin sighs, running his hands through his hair, "we'll take him home."
Obi-Wan pats Anakin on the back with a wide grin, "good luck, buddy, good luck."

WITH THE HELP OF EVERYONE, Klaus's stuff was settled neatly in the house and he had already sniffed his whole way around the apartment. It was clear that the puppy had an attachment with Astrid seeing as though he'd quite literally never leave her side.
Anakin frowns as he sees Astrid curled up on the couch with the puppy in her lap the next morning. As much as he liked Klaus, he was taking all of Astrid's attention. His pride, however, was much too large for him to admit that he needed attention so he kept his lips shut.
Astrid snickers as she looks over to see the pout on Anakin's face, "get over here, my needy little Jedi."
Anakin complies, his pout quickly turning to a grin. He plops down on the couch next to Astrid, his head resting on her shoulder while one arm wraps around his neck and the other pets Klaus. She smiles, eyes bouncing from both the dog and Anakin, "my two boys cuddled up to me."
"I was your boy first," Anakin points out, looking at Astrid with the same pout as before. Was he getting jealous over a puppy? Astrid was sure he'd grow to like him one day—but the thought that he envied Klaus made her laugh.
"Yes, you were," Astrid chuckles, pressing her lips against Anakin's. It was a sweet kiss, one that both of them needed quite a lot. From the night prior with everyone trying to cheer her up to now with Anakin and Klaus—she felt so loved.
"I love you, princess," Anakin whispers, resting his head back on her shoulder.
