XZilisTale Zane x Reader Fluff (short)

-Zane's perspective-

I pace back and forth waiting for Y/N to come home from work I start to bite the tips of my fingers I think 'what if something bad happened to him/her/them hopefully he/she/they comes/come back home in one piece or I will not spare the person that hurt him/her/them!' The door opens revealing my boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other I ask worriedly "where were you? I was so worried I was about to have a panic attack are you hurt? what took you so long to get home? Y/N says "don't worry Zane I'm alright the subway train arrived late not just that but I missed the train I usually take so I had to take the next one" I sigh in relief while saying "I'm so glad you're alright next time please don't miss the train I thought something bad happened to you" Y/N says "Zane if something bad happened I would of called the police and you plus I have pepper spray in my backpack/pocketbook/pocket I'd be alright trust me pepper spray in the eyes burns like hell like if your eyes were drenched in gasoline and someone lit it on fire that's what it feels like I had experience" I hug them while mumbling into their shoulder "I'm just happy you're ok" he/she/they sits/sit on the couch letting me continue hugging them I ask "so how was work today?" Y/N says "eh it was just your ordinary day at work boring like always so how was your day?" I say "nerve racking I was basically just worrying about you coming home safe so I didn't realize how my day was going" Y/N says gently "Zane you got to stop worrying so much about me I'm an adult I can take care of myself" I say "I know I just can't help but worry about you and my brother I don't want anything bad to happen to the both of you my soul would break knowing that I wasn't there to protect you...." I cuddle closer to them feeling as if I let go they'll be put in danger Y/N says "awwww my worry filled skeleton" he/she/they pulls/pull my hood down and start to gently pet my head trying to calm me down

-Y/N's perspective-

I pet his head and say "it's alright it's alright calm down your sharpish fingers are digging into me slightly" Zane pulls away saying "I'm a terrible boyfriend!" I say "now hold on a second Zane you aren't a terrible boyfriend just because you gripped onto me slightly digging you fingers into my back" Zane asks softly "I hurt you don't you hate me?" I hug him while saying "Zane I could never hate you I will love you no matter what even if you murder someone out of blind rage" Zane chuckles nervously while saying "I'd only do that if you or my brother were in danger" I say "I know you would which makes you a good boyfriend and a good brother sure you may worry too much but that is ok because you will try to make sure me and Lewis are ok and safe" I kiss his boney cheek while saying "I love you now let's go to sleep it's already midnight" Zane teleport's us to our bed I fall asleep with him laying on top of me
