Chapter 14: Chaos

Another Update

It's been a month now and things have become unsettled in the kingdoms ever since the Prince was kidnapped. The letter that was supposed to be delivered to the Phereous kingdom never got there and this caused arguments between the kingdoms.

King James was very wary of this. He tried for weeks to explain what had happened to the prince on his way to the phereous kingdom. The king of the phereous kingdom didn't want to hear that. He quickly dismissed King James from his presence everytke he requested a meeting with him.

The prince on the other hand was worried about his royal guards. He felt bad for leaving them behind. Why did this had to happen to them? Why did they have to lose their life for nothing more than a pawn? A useless chess piece. A useless piece of trash. He thought before a tear rolled down his face.

The door creaked and Jeremy hurriedly wuoed his tear away and kept his head away from the door.

"Son."

"Yes father."

"We need to talk."no

"Alright I'll be there." The prince replied and kept his head forward.

His father left and Jeremy paced across the floor trying to clear his mind before speaking with his father.

Jeremy walked down the hallway to the room where he and his father had conversed a month ago he sighed as he pushed the door open.

His father sat at the table with a blank expression on his face.

"Sit." He said in a low tone.

Jeremy looked at his father and tried to figure out wondered what this meeting was all about.

"Son I told you to come here because we had to talk about a very important issue."

"What may that be father?"

King James looked at Jeremy for moment.

"We have to talk about you getting married and this time it's serious we can't back out of it."

Jeremy clenched his jaw trying bit to let any defiant words come out of his mouth.

"I know you aren't ready but I had to make a deal a quick deal with the king of phereous or a war would've broken out."

Jeremy looked at his father then couldn't think of anything to say.

"I know you are mad at me but I had to make the right decision for the people."

There was a sudden ruckus at the door and then some shouting. A guard came through the door looking strange.

"Sire there's a riot outside the castle."

"Damn." The killed yelled in anger and stood up. "Okay I'm going to go try to stop it. Take Jeremy to Hus room and keep him safe make sure no one gets to and nothing bad happens to him."

The guard shook his head in cooperation and grabbed Jeremy and dragged him down the hallway. He yelled frantically but nothing stoooe his father from going into simthing that might end his father's life.
