16. Video Store

The bathroom door opens and you go quiet. "I still can't believe that Casey and Steve were murdered!" One girl says. "I know, right?! Especially them being gutted!" The other one says. "Oh, my goddd..." you whisper very lowly. "Oh, my god do you think that new girl, Y/n, did it? I mean..she was there" here we go again. "Oh, please, we all know she did it. She probably got jealous of her dating Steve, so went mad and killed both of them"

Okay, yeah, that's it. You grab your backpack and open the bathroom stall door. They both look at you with wide eyes. "Oh, my god..it's the murderer.." one whispers"

You look at them both. "You idiots really thought I didn't hear you? Stop acting like your plain old gossips are hard to hear, it's all over the damn place, so, I suggest you stop talking shit" "or else what, you gonna gut us, too?" They both laugh and leave the bathroom. You start crying more. "Stop crying, Y/n..." you whisper to yourself.

Hours Later

It is after school and you park your bike on the brick wall of the video store. You go inside and see Randy. "Hey, Randy" he turns.
"What's up, Y/n"
you sigh. "Nothing much..just looking for a movie to watch for tonight" "horror?" "Mmm..I guess..." with all the murders going down, you're not sure if you wanted to watch horror movies anymore. "Down that aisle- but..!" "But what?" "Please check out Jamie Lee Curtis Prom Night or Halloween..."

You laugh a little. "Do you like Jamie Lee Curtis?" "Not like...love" you do a goofy smile. "Okay, then, I'll go check it out" he jumps a little as you walk down that aisle. "Y/n" you turn to him. "Yeah?" He walks up to you and leans in a bit. "I know you're friends with Sid and all, but..do you think she'd go out with me..?" You stare for a second then smile like an idiot. "If you ask her-" oh, wait, she's dating Billy. "I guess it's a bummer for the both of us, Randy..." he furrows his eyebrows.

"What do you mean for you, too?" Oh, shit. You like Billy but you haven't told anyone. "I uh..I didn't mean to add me..." he crosses his arms and nods while squinting his eyes. "You like Billy, don't you?" Motherfucker, motherfucker, motherfucker. "Y-Noo! No, no, noo! Never in a million yearsss!" Your cheeks go a bit red.

He raises an eyebrow. "If you say so" you nod slowly and walk over to the horror aisle. You get shivers down your spine. Is someone watching you? You hover your finger over the movies and move across while reading the titles. "Sorry, Randy, but Halloween is too classic" you whisper. Gasp "no wayy... they have Psycho..?!" You say in surprisement. You use to watch this movie all the freaking time and you really loved it. You turn to the back. "$5.99.." you nod.

"Good taste" you startle and turn around and there stands Billy. "I-I'm sorry for blocking your way-" "no, no, no, I was just walking around and saw you, that's all" he says with his hair hanging down. You smile a little and your cheeks go a bit pink. "Oh, okay..." he looks down at the movie. "Psycho?" "Oh, yeah, I love this movie" "yeah?" "Mhm!" He smiles. "You have a very good taste in movies, what other ones do you like?" You cross your arms and think.

"Carrie, Black Christmas.." his eyes go a bit wide. "And...maybe Halloween?" He stands there staring. "I know I know..really cheesy choices-" "favorite characters in all of them" he said coldly, but with a smile in the corner. "In Halloween..Micheal Myers, Carrie of course is Carrie, Psycho is Norman Bates and Black Christmas...." he stares harder and deeper. "Is..?" He asked. "Barbara!" His jaw drops. "Are you okay?" He clears his throat.

"Yeah, it's just...those are really really good taste in horror movies...really..!" "Thanks" you take the movie and walk to the other side of the horror section. Billy stands there shocked. He usually doesn't give a flying fuck about anything but THIS.

"Oh, would you look at that?" He turns around and looks at you. "There's Black Christmas" he sucks in his bottom lip. "I'm going to go cash out, it was good seeing you again" remembering last night. He nods and you go walk to the cashier. You see Stu and Randy talking about something. "There's a formula to it! A VERY SIMPLE FORMULA! EVERYBODY'S A SUSPECT!!" Randy yells.

You stop and look at him and Stu sees you and waves embarrassingly. Billy walks past you and over to Randy. You chuckle and go to the cashier. You look at them again and see Billy grab Randy by his shirt. You shrug and go back to cashing out. "Thank you, bye" you look at Billy who is looking you up and down and talking to Stu. You run outside and onto your bike and start peddling away.

With Billy

"There is something about her that makes me want to keep her" Billy said. "You finally decided to sell Sidney to Randy?" Stu said. "He can have her at the very end, but right now, we got work.." Billy said coldly. Stu grinned like an idiot and followed Billy.
