Angels and Demons and Death
The world is new; different. Life is different. The people aren't the same. Some are, still pure and whole, like they were before everything. Some are definetly not. Not bad change took place, not for most. There were Angels and Demons, Ghosts, good and bad, Spirits, and then just plain Undead. That was what They called people who were posessed.
The Demons are the hardest to manage, but the Angels take care of them, and also the Ghosts who went bad, helping the dead pass on. No one really knows how, though. The Angels don't interact much with humans, or with anyone but each other and whoever gives their orders.
Because of this, the theory of God is still a mystery, a great hope yet to be proved, but still believed in. Angels keep away the Demons; that's all there is to it. The Ghosts aren't all bad. Some simply dont want to pass on. They usually do, eventually, but the ones that can't pass are the troublesome ones.
They go bad, seeking revenge on anyone who did them wrong. This, also, usually resolves itself, but not without help. It's not always the Angels, sometimes the other Ghosts or Spirits move them along, passing themselves over in the process.
The Angels help when they have orders to do so. It is rumored to be their way of getting energy. When the Demons die, they leave behind Purity, and somehow the Angels use it. Just the same as the humans use Light; energy from the passing of Ghosts.
The Angels help Ghosts pass when they have orders to help the humans. They release the souls, leaving behind something like fuel. The humans use it for making new tools, new technology.
But the Angels are leaving and no one knows why. The Demons are growing. The ghosts are Helping, but it's not enough. When Angels fall, Demons rise, and broken spirits can live with a little help. And it all started on a sunny Friday afternoon, at Half Past Twelve.
