(picture of Ari as a five-year-old)
I was sitting at the coffee table in the living room, coloring a dolphin with my crayons. Then I heard a loud crash. my mom rushed into the room holding my brother's hand. "Ari come on, we have to go!" my mom said frantically. I stood up and followed my mother out the back door. My mom picked me up and kept running. "Mommy?" I whispered. "Yes, Ari?"
"Where are we going?"
"We are going away, Ari."
"Ok."
As soon as I said that a loud boom echoed through through the trees. Mommy screamed and fell to the ground. "Mommy!" Bryan screamed. I started to cry. "There you two are," said an unfamiliar voice. I sniffled. Bryan grabbed my hand and we started running. "Now why are you running from Mr. Starch?" We kept on running. Mr. Starch growled and Bryan stopped running. Mr. Starch scooped us up. "Come, children. It's about time you had a little experiment done."
13 Years Later
We were running.
And running.
As soon as we passed the border, they stopped chasing us and turned around. My wolf, Platinum, howled with happiness.
We kept on running until we reached the tree line.
And ever since then, we've been running.
