kinda short chapter
Light rays beamed onto your eyes, telling you that the morning has arrived. A soft hand stroked your back gently, caressing you with care and love.
"mmh" You breathed out, trying to open your eyes, gazing onto Xiao as soon as you did. Staring at your love the first thing in the morning just as your eyes open. He was sitting up on the bed, on hand on his knee while the other continued to stroke your back.
"Good morning Y/N" He whispered with his melodic voice.
"Good morning pretty." You smiled, laying your head onto his lap. His fingers tangled themselves into your hair. Your hands reach out for Xiaos face, cupping them in your small hands. (any of ya'll play violin but has smoll hands? Haha me) He leaned down and plants kisses onto your forehead, making your face burn.
"I wanna visit the harbor" You hummed.
"What?"
"Yes, let's get moving. We have been sleeping for a long time, we're not frozen in place are we?"
"I don't want to go to the harbor" He protested.
"But since you have the wonderful me with you so you'll be fine." You smiled.
"Why do you always manage to make me agree on everything" Xiao pouted as both of you enter the harbor through the bridge.
"Because you love me and you can't possibly say no to me" You made your eyes big and puppy-like, making Xiao scoff in return.
You grab xiao in the wrists and pulled him along the streets, gazing at the long arched stairways and the lanterns that you missed.
"what are you looking for?" he asked.
A deep voice cut you from answering Xiao.
"Mr. Zhongliiiii"
"Ah Y/N, I haven't seen you in a while. Did anything happen?"
"ah it's nothing" You smiled, not wanting to bring up the topic.
"Old blockhead I'm back—Hey Y/N!" familiar voice spoke.
"Barbatos?" Xiao murmured.
Venti ignored his comment, "Why hello Xiao! I bet you missed me~!" He looked at you and Xiao back and forth, "well I guess you two are back together again"
"What are you doing here Venti" You asked.
"Well this old blockhead invited me here for tea, Y/N you know that wine is waaaay better than tea right!?"
"don't call him that" Xiao growled protectively.
"Ehe—no"
Xiao's gaze looked like he could kill Venti.
"So how are you two couples doing?" Venti ignored Xiao's gaze and smiled.
"uh-h fine! Nothing suspicious—no not at all!" You wave your hands not wanting them to get the wrong idea, but they did.
"eh~so you two did it? You used protection, right?" Venti smirked.
You swatted Venti's face so hard if it wasn't for Zhongli and his quick reflexes you would've made Venti spiral back to Mond.
"eheeee I'm only joking~ You two would never do such thing hm?"
Both you and Xiao looked away from Venti, a scowl on your faces.
And both archons understood immediately but only smirked in reply.
"Ahh looks like my baby girl has grown~" Venti sobbed, hugging himself, "soon, she'll be asking me to bring up her kids"
Xiao took the honor to swat Venti's face again, unfortunately, Zhongli pulled Venti away just in time.
"ok I get it! Stop hitting me" Vent gave an anya smirk face.
"Venti, please stop." Zhongli pushed a teacup against Venti's lips to make him shut up.
"So what are you two doing here in the harbor?" Zhongli asked.
"Just looking around—"
"Wait! I'm invited to your wedding right~?" Venti interrupted.
You face started burning, "N-no one said we were getting married!" You looked at Xiao for help.
"maybe we should..."Xiao said thoughtfully.
"Wh-at? Isn't that a bit too early?" You stammered.
"Well we've known each other for quite a long time..."
Xiao looked deeply into your eyes, "I don't want to wait anymore."
"I-I...I guess we should then" You blushed and looked away.
"Everyone! MY GIRL Y/N IS ENGAGED!!!" Venti screamed like a proud dad as he ran around the streets telling everyone the news.
"Maybe coming to the harbor was a bad idea after all..." You muttered, hand massaging your temples.
"let's go." Xiao took your hand.
You looked at him confused, where was Xiao going to bring you to?
You two settled down at a place with very few people roaming around, a view of the Liyue Harbor below you, people walking at the busy streets, the sun shining on the top.
"Y/N" Xiao's voice brought you to reality, away from gazing at the Harbor.
"I want to ask you alone where no one can interrupt. I'm not good with asking, but 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙢𝙚?" He got down on one knee, taking your hand, his other hand held onto that ring you two bought together that night at the lantern rite festival.
