Callista walks in the forest near her house trying to find a river. With a bucket of dirty clothes and necessary utensils to washes them. While on the way to the river, she observes the beauty of the forest, tall trees, the sound of squirrels and water flowing, meaning that she's close to the river.
After getting near to the river, Callista putted down the bucket along with the dirty clothes and utensils. Then she washes the clothes one by one until there are no dirty clothes left, instead there are clean wet clothes in the bucket. Feeling a bit tired, she decided to rest near the river before coming back home.
" *sigh* I'll stay here for a bit longer. " Callista said to herself.
A few minutes later, she stands up with the bucket full of clean wet clothes and utensils.
" All right now, that's enough time to rest. I still have to hang up these clothes for them to dry. " She said after recovered her energy.
After reaching at her house, she saw her mother called out to her.
" There you are, Callista! I thought you went to the village's plaza since it takes you so long than usual. " The mother called out to her.
" I'm sorry mother, I take a rest near the river for a few minutes. I didn't know you would be worried about me. " Callista said feeling a bit guilty for worrying her mother.
" It's all right dear, oh! By the way, the kids searched for you, so that's how I realized you takes a long time in the forest. They're still waiting in the house. " The mother told her after remembered the villager's kids.
" But I still haven't hang up these wet clothes yet. Can you tell them I can't play with them? " She said with a sad face that she couldn't make some time with the kids.
" It's okay, I'll hang up the clothes. You can go in and play with the kids. " The mother said reassuring smile.
" Are you sure? " She asks for confirmation.
" Of course dear, now go. They've been waiting for you. " The mother said to her daughter.
" Thank you mom, see you later! " She wave.
Her mother wave back to her while Callista walks in the house. In the living room, she heard familiar voices. Standing steadily in the shadows, she waits for her opportunity.
" Boo! "
"Aahhh!! " The kids shouted.
Callista laughs from the kids' shouting.
" Sister Callista! It's not funny. " A girl said while pouting.
" Hah! Did you get scared? Scaredy cat. " A boy making fun of the girl.
" But you're scared too! " The girl fight back.
" What do you mean?! I didn't, a man never get scared! " The boy trying to deny the girl.
" Yeah you did! I heard you shouted to with us! "
" Guys, please stop fighting.. " The other boy trying to break up the fight but it seem like it doesn't work.
Callista put a hand on the boy shoulder and give him a reassuring smile.
" Now, now! who wants to hear a story? " She shouted and it catch the other two kids' attention.
" I want to!! " They both shouted at the same time.
" Ah me too.. " The boy behind Callista said while tugging her dress.
She sits down on chair while the three kids sit down on the floor.
" Okay but before I tell the story, Alec, Eirene, apologize to each other. " Callista told them.
" But he's the one that started it! " Eirene refused.
" You-! " Alec couldn't contain his anger.
" If you guys don't do it, then I'll never tell you the story. " Callista pretend to stand up from the chair.
" Ah-! Okay, okay. I'll do it! " Eirene changed her mind.
They handshake as the symbol of peace between them. The other boy chuckled at their stubbornness.
" Helios! Did you find this funny? " Eirene yelled at Helios while pouting.
" Ah, I'm s-sorry. I didn't mean it! " He apologized while shaking his head.
" You don't need to apologize for everything, you know? " Alec said.
" Oh.. Sorry.. " Helios said then realized.
Callista, Alec and Eirene laugh it off then Helios started to laughs along.
" Well then, ready for a story? " Callista asks.
" Yes please!! " The kids shouted with excited faces.
