Three years later...

Early in the morning, up in the icy cold mountain, Nathan was inside the cave wondering why his pack had left him. He really wanted to know the truth but he was scared of it, because if the truth was something about him or something else he didn't wanted to know. Red was outside looking for seeds and when she came back, she was worried about the dark clouds nearby. She flew and stood in front of Nathan, worried.

"Umm... Nathan, I think a storm is coming" said Red.

"Really. When?" asked Nathan.

"A few hours, come outside and look" said Jay. Nathan stood up and he walked outside of the cave. He felt a strong cold wind in his white fur. He looked to Red and said, "I'm going to get some food for the storm" said Nathan, waiting for Red's answer.

"Ok" answer She and the wolf ran as fast as the cold wind. He smelled something unfamiliar. Nathan followed the smell and he found a white fox as white as the snow, sleeping behind a pine tree. He didn't want to disturb her, but as he walk in front of the white fox, it woke up.

"What are you doing?" the fox said while looking up and down Nathan with suspicion.

"I'm looking for seeds" answer Nathan. The fox looked at him curiously and asked him, "Why would you need seeds?" she paused looking at him, "you are a wolf."

"Why do you want to know? If is non of your business" answered Nathan, looking at the fox. He knew that foxes are thieves from experience of hunting and that they only care for themselves.

"Well, I'm sorry if my curiosity is alerting you and you're little pal. I'm just trying to be nice" said the fox.

"Yeah, nice job" said Nathan, rolling his eyes. He paused and then said, "what do you want?"

"A place to stay during the storm, that's all" she said looking him directly to his blue eyes.

He looked at her and told her to follow him. She nodded and thanked him.

"Oh, by the way, my name is Sky" said the fox.

"Nathan" answer the wolf.

Nathan went to hunt his and Sky's dinner and breakfast while Sky was looking for Red's seeds. Then, Nathan howled calling for Sky, she found Nathan and followed him to the cave. As they entered the cave they saw Red preparing her nest, as soon as she has about to lay down she looked at the fox terrified. Nathan ran towards her and comfort her by assuring that he'll keep an eye on her. Red calmed down and Sky starred at them the whole time. She looked outside and stared as the storm was getting near them.

The winds got much stronger than before, the icy cold snow was covered most of the forest and mountain, and the air was dry and cold as a night in the desert.

"Are you gonna go to sleep?" ask Red to Nathan, looking worried.

"Yeah, I'm gonna sleep too. Are you gonna sleep?" said Sky.

"I'm going to keep watch, you guys sleep" answer Nathan.

"Ok" answer Red and Sky.

Nathan walked towards the entrance of the cave and felt the strong cold wind and he felt a broken piece of his heart flying away. He knew that they weren't go back to look for him nor he'll look for them because maybe they died. So he knew it was time to move on but in a second he realize that all the things that his father taught was to prepare him. He shook his head when he remembered where he slept that night, behind the stone with the thought in his head, Nathan realized that there's a high probability that humans captured them and didn't noticed him because he was hidden. He shook his head and cleared his thoughts, and walked to the stone where he slept the night they were gone...
