elizabeth's POV
"liz, which suit should I wear? black or blue? what's your dad's favorite color?" I giggled at his nervousness.
"you don't really have to wear a suit mr cole" I continued doing my makeup, "I want to impress your parents mrs cole" he said walking behind me.
I looked at him from the mirror only seeing him looking at me.
bakit gusto nya maimpress parents ko sakanya? bakit gusto nya mameet sila mama pala?
I sigh, "they would scold you for wearing a suit, they would want you to wear more comfortable clothes." as I said that he widen his eyes and run towards his room.
" I swear he is literally a child" I whispered as I put on my lip gloss, standing up walking towards my body length mirror.
black turtle neck that is tucked in my light blue jeans, and lastly white polo.
to top it all off I wore silver necklaces, earrings and our wedding ring.
"is this okay?" seeing alex walking inside my room, fixing his silver necklace.
he is wearing a black long sleeved turtleneck that hugged his body well tucked in his black pants with a belt. lastly his black shoes.
"gaya gaya ka ba" he looked up and smirked "maybe".
I put on my shoes and grab my bag "let's go na?" I asked as he nodded his head leading me outside to his range rover.
we started driving to my parent's house which will take us about an hour and 30 minutes to get there.

the view of my old home came into our view, the wooden exterior with a garden that my mother always wanted.
we parked outside the house, it's a two story house good for 3 to 4 people.
we went out and started walking towards the front door.
I looked at the flowers that used to be fresh and colorful are now dried up since mother has been sick.
"palaging dinidiligan ni mama mga yan, iniisip nga minsan namin ni papa kung mas mahal pa nya halaman nya kaisa saamin eh" i joked as I chuckled.
alex just smiled putting his arm around my shoulder and giving a light squeeze.
I pressed the doorbell, and after a few seconds papa opened it up with a smile that doesn't reach his tired eyes.
he doesn't look good, I know the feeling seeing your love one in pain.
I felt that pag nakikita ko si mama.
"eli! i missed you anak" he gave me a bear hug, he let us in and close the door behind us.
"papa si al-" "alexander elijah cole, am I correct, son?" papa cut me off as he looked at him.
alex gave him a smile "yes po mr rodriguez" he is about to shake his hand pero I guess he doesn't expect na yayakapin sya ni papa.
my papa likes hugs.
"ano ka ba you can call me tito or papa be comfortable, you are welcome to our family" papa said smiling at alex who has a pink tint on his ear.
he is blushing, the cold billionaire is blushing. HAHAHA
"thank you po si-" papa shot him a playful glare, "tito, thank you po tito" alex corrected himself.
"you guys are married diba?" papa asked as i nodded my head along with alex.
"ah pasensya na di ko kasi alam yung media media na yan kaya di ko alam"
"it's okay pa" he only nodded.
"ay jusko po upo muna kayo kuha ko lang kayo ng inumin, buti nalang naka comfortable clothes kayo baka matagalan yata kayo dito. gusto kayo kausapin ng mama" papa said as he drag us sa kitchen.
"told you" I whispered to alex as he gave me a smile.
papa gave us a glass cup of water as we finished our drink we head upstairs, kung saan si mama nakahiga.
papa opened the door and went inside giving mama a kiss on her forehead.
mama looks pale, meron syang naka pasok na needle sa likod ng kamay nya.
pero sa lahat na nangyayari sakanya, naka ngiti parin sya habang naka tingin saamin.
"elizabeth victoria come give your mama a hug" I heard her voice, it's still the same pero may pagka.. weak?
I went up to her and hug her.
"asan asawa mo?" she said looking for alex, once she saw alex she gestured him to hug her.
"you must be my son in law call me mama or tita" when the hug broke alex stood beside me.
"anak mahal kita pero can i please talk to alexander first?" I nodded my head, she looked at papa and me "privately".
that's our cue to leave, I looked at alex and he just gave me a peck on my cheeks.
alexander's pov
as they both left it's only me and her mom, "anak kunin mo yung upuan dun tas lapit mo dito" I did as I was told.
I sat down beside her, she took a deep breath "first I want to thank you for helping my daughter finding me a cure for my illness" she spoke
"but sadly the cure didn't work, it failed" whispering the last word my heart shattered because I care about the girl waiting outside and her family.
my heart shattered because alam ko na kung saan mapupunta itong usapan.
"tita I can bring you the best docto-" she lift her hand up shaking her head.
"anak it's fine, dont waste your money even mor-" "tita no i'm not wasting my money I can help you" I cut her off.
she just gave me a smile "it's okay, it's my time na rin. I just want to tell you" she spoke again, "take care of my daughter, love her, ikaw na bahala sakanya since matanda naman rin kami ng papa diba" she continued.
I want to tell her na may chance pa at baka makatulong ako pero she shot me a look so I just nodded.
"the doctor said anytime" alam ko sinasabi nya, ayaw ko lang maniwala.
"how about elizabeth? you have to tell her" she nodded "I will pero she wouldn't take it unlike you, she would walk out, I know that and I already forgave her about that" she responded.
"get her" I nodded my head, standing up walking towards the door. I look for elizabeth and i saw her sitting in the living room talking to her father.
"liz? tawag ka ni tita" I said sitting down on the couch, she nodded her head and went upstairs.
as the door closed behind her, her dad spoke "she wouldn't like it, lahat naman tayo. pero iba sya pag malungkot, kinikimkim nya, hindi sya mag shashare." I looked at him and saw him looking at the door where she went.
"i'm telling you this because I trust you anak. don't leave her, please don't leave her side" he begged as i nodded a head
I saw his eyes getting watery I move beside him and gave him a hug.
"i'm accepting it all naman pero syempre masakit diba" I just nodded and hug him.
once we broke the hug he thanked me when suddenly we both heard a door being slammed shut.
we both saw liz running downstairs and out of the house, I looked at his father and sigh.
"go after her, thank you for visiting us" he said as I gave him a hug goodbye.
elizabeth's POV
I am sobbing as my knees hit the grass, I cant, di ko kayang mawala mama ko. lalo na di ko pa sya masyado naaalagaan.
lalo na di ko pa binibigay lahat ng gusto nya.
I am busy sobbing my heart out when i felt him hug me from behind lifting me up.
I turned around and hug on his chest, as he just hugged me back remaining silent letting me cry it all.
minutes have been passed and I calmed down.. for now.
he led us to the car and he sat me down, I felt... numb.

in the past few days after the visit. I buried myself with work, as I was reading the papers i cant help but zone out.
walking inside my mama's room, seeing her situation like this i want to cry.
pero she is okay now, right?
I sat down next to her, she held my hand. "anak naalala mo sabi mo noon?" I nodded my head
"maski anong mangyari be brave, be strong, accept yourself and be yourself do not let anybody let you down" we both said.
I got suspecious, "why are you telling me this ma?" I asked as I saw her eyes started to tear up.
"hindi gumana yung cure, eli"
I felt a tear roll down my cheek as the sentence repeat itself in my head like a broken record.
I wiped the tear immediately as I heard the door opening and closing.
"hey el-" the voice got cut off by my phone ringing, I looked at the caller.

my breathing started to become shallow, heart started to beat faster than normal, closing my eyes after I answer and put my phone on my ear.
