another day had passed, we still haven't moved from this spot. the man checked on vance feeding him before leaving, just like he always had. i knew the day had to be today, the day the plan hatched.

Vance- why hasn't the phone rang?

Sige- because it's near the end, it's time to escape

Vance sat up, worry written all over his face and I understood why. If this went wrong, he would be dead. i sighed standing as I looked at the door.

Sige- the phone won't ring anymore since they had given you all the tools you needed. I will make sure he's asleep in that chair so you can try to escape. you need to be extremely quiet as you might wake the dog, we can't let that happen or your for sure a goner.

Vance- okay than once I'm out, we run to the station correct

Sige- us both running will only highten there sales of us both being caught. you need to go alone and bring the cops here, you can do that right?

Vance- yeah I can, you sure about this?

I sighed with a nod as I moved to the door, he stood up as i walked out but spoke in a whisper before I could move up the stairs.

Vance- careful, okay?

Sige- I will, don't worry

I walked upstairs and peered over the corner hearing the man's snores from his chair. I let out a shaky breath as I looked to vance who was walking up the stairs

Sige- *whisper* go, the door is right there. remember silent

he nodded quietly walking past the grabber, I could see the nerves radiating off him as he made his way to the door. he careful opened it being extra slow so that it didn't creak or make a loud noises before he started to try and put the combo in. he tried the first and failed so he tried again, I kept my eyes on the man. i moved to stand by the door way where vance was when I heard the faint but quiet unlock of the lock. Vance had a smile on his face as he pulled the lock off and ran out. I ran to the window as I watched him run to the back.

the man got up running to the door as I watched him get into his van. he drove the opposite way clearly not seeing vance as I watched vance run the exact way I told him to. now I had to wait for the cops to show up.

the man showed up as I was standing in the corner of the room, he was throwing things and ran downstairs. I could hear the police sirens as I looked out the window with a smile, they came walking in with their guns out as Vance stood on the sidewalk clearly waiting for me.

that made my heart sink. the cops checked the house as they ran down to the basement, I could hear them fighting with the man before bringing him up in hand cuffs. i watched them bring him out and shove him into the cop car as Vance ran over to one of the cops. clearly yelling something before running to the door with two following.

Vance- I'm telling you!! there's a girl in here! she was with me this whole time! she was the reason I escaped!

Cop 1- son we told you, the house is cleared. there is no girl in here.

Cop 2- I think you just need to rest and go h *cuts off*

Vance- no goddamnit! she was here!

Vance ran down the stairs with the cops following as I did as well. I stood against the wall as he looked around the room before running to the wall.

Vance- look she wrote this! 77410! that's what she wrote, she told me it was important!

Cop 1- *sighs* son, that's the address for across the street

Vance- listen alright?! I don't know why she wrote it but she did!

Cop 2- who is this girl than? the one who supposedly saw

Vance- Sige, she told me her name was Sige! maybe she ran out of here and to this address when the man left!

the cops looked at each other with a sigh before leading vance upstairs, I went behind them as i follows them acrossed the street. the cops opened the door and shined their lights as we walked down.

Vance- no this can't be right, this can't be it!

Cop 1- must be where he was planing to bury the kids, sick bastard.

i walked past them as I walked over to a grave. i looked down at it as I sat down smiling.

Cop 2- would the girl you saw be Sige bellmen by any chance? long brownish hair, blue eyes?

Vance- yeah, that was her but I couldn't really see her. it was hard too to the lighting in the room, it almost seemed like she wasn't there but now I'm realizing, she wasn't there at all

I felt my eyes fill with tears as I moved over to vance who was clenching his fist. I put my hand on his shoulder as he looked over at me, I could tell he knew I was there

Sige- I'm glad I was able to save you

he knows now he wasn't able to save me at all.

AND THAT WRAPS UP THIS SHORT STORY! I KNOW IT WASNT LONG OR ANYTHING NOR WAS IT A LOVE STORY BUT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE COOL TO WRITE!
