I went back to the house, feeling empty after crying so much and saw mom trying to open the basement door.

"Why do you want to go in there?" I asked her, with no trace of humor in my tone.

"Oh, I wanted to see Daisy. I heard she's only a month old." Mom said, trying to sound cheerful.

Her eyes swelled from all the sobbing but she pretended as if it was alright.

"You don't need to act alright mom." I said, opening the door to the basement.

I walked down as she followed me, nervously.

"I know, but I try to be positive." She said.

"Daisy" I sung trying to be cheerful for her.

She wiggled her tail at the sight of me. I went and patted her on the head.

"Meet my mom." I said as she growled, when mom tried touching her.

"Give her time." I told mom.

Slowly, she moved her hand forward as Daisy backed away. Hesitant, Daisy came forward and smelled mom.

I was happy seeing her make progress in meeting new people. Daisy has PTSD from the trauma she had to face and often acts aggressive. She has tried biting me when I don't understand her.

"She's getting comfortable with me." Mom said, petting her head.

"No she's not." I said, bluntly than I meant to be.

Mom looked at me with confusion in her swollen eyes.

"Not yet." I added.

The door suddenly opened and Jackson came in. "I need to check up on her." he said, venom in his voice.

What happened to him?

"Okay... Is something wrong?" I asked.

"No, just having a bad day." He gave a sarcastic smile and didn't try to hide it.

"Very well then." I shrugged as mom gave me a questioning look.

"You can leave, Natasha." He said, as he checked Daisy's pulse.

I opened my mouth to argue but mom glared at me. Anger surged through me as I left. What was his deal?

I went back to my home and found Andrew sitting there with concern on his face. Luke was sitting beside him, with shock showing over his features. The box with the information was sitting on the table.

"What happened now?" I asked, with no interest in my voice.

"You're gonna want to sit down for this." Andrew said.

I went and took a seat in front of him. "What is it?"

"Our father is a very dangerous man. Your mom's life and Jackson's life are in danger." Luke said.

"Let's call him by his name. I don't consider him my dad anymore." I told Luke, a bit harsher than I thought.

Luke nodded, as our eyes met.

"Remember how I was telling you about how he's related to the organization?" Andrew asked to confirm.

"Yes.. and?"

"Well he-" Someone knocked the door before Andrew could tell me.

We jumped out of our seats as Andrew and I took out our guns on reflex. Slowly, we went near the door and opened it just a bit to see who it was.

Andrew sighed in relief, after he seemed to recognise the person.

"Who is it?" I asked him, as he put down his gun. He opened the door, wide open and a petite man, with a few tools appeared in front of me.
