Okay, so a couple of things happened over the past year.

Steve and Nancy got back together. I was honestly happy that they were a couple again since Steve has proven himself.

I finally passed my driver's license and my dad bought me a car for my 17th birthday!

It was a pretty expensive car but my dad said that he wanted only the best for me, I didn't complain and I was grateful for such good parents

Oh, and I got closer with the kids. I would often come over to Wheelers' house only to play d&d with the boys and since I got my car now, they would often ask me for a ride.

And that is exactly what I'm doing right now, taking kids to the arcade. We parked in front of the arcade and before I could even stop the car the kids opened the doors while jumping from the car.

"Hey, slow down!" I yelled at them but they didn't listen to me. They ran to the arcade leaving me alone in my seat. I sighed before getting out of the car and walking to the entrance.

I wore a simple outfit. I really didn't want to impress anybody, especially not someone at the arcade.

I looked around the arcade, trying to find the boys

I looked around the arcade, trying to find the boys. I remembered that they would often play 'Dragon's lair' so I went to look there, and I was right. They were gathered around the game screaming.

"No! No! No! I hate this overpriced bullshit!" Dustin yelled as he hit the machine. "Son of a bitch! Piece of shit!"

"Hey, language!" I yelled back at him. The kids looked at me scared and Dustin mumbled 'sorry' under his breath.

"You're not nimble enough. But you'll get there one day. But until then, Princess Daphne is still mine." Lucas smirked as he pointed at Dustin with his index finger.

"Whatever. I'm still tops on Centipede and Dig Dug." Dustin answered confidently.

"You sure about that?" I jumped slightly at the voice coming from behind me. I turned around only to see Keith standing behind me and eating his snack.

"Sure about what?" Dustin asked. We looked at Keith for an answer but he didn't say anything, he just continued eating. Dustin realized what he meant. "You're kidding me. No, no, no." He said as he rushed over to the game. The boys and I followed Dustin who was pushing random people so he could get past them.

"Dustin! Slow down!" I yelled back at him but he didn't listen. He got to the game and he stopped. He started cursing under his breath and I looked at the screen. Dustin was now in second place, while the first place belonged to someone named 'Mad Max'.

"751,300 points!" Will yelled in disbelief.

"That's impossible," Mike said.

"Who is Mad Max?" Dustin asked as he turned around to face Keith.

"Better than you." He said with a full mouth. Dustin showed him the middle finger and I immediately went to push his arm down.

"Is it you?" Will asked while pointing at him.

"You know I despise Dig Dug." Keith scoffed before putting another cheese ball in his mouth.

"Then who is it?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah, spill it, Keith," Dustin demanded.

"You want information, then I need something in return." As he said that he looked at me and smirked. My eyes widened when I realized what he meant.

"No, oh God, no!" I yelled back at him, clearly disgusted by the fact that he even thought about that.

"You're not getting a date with Y/n!" Dustin yelled back at him as he made a disgusted face.

"And your not even her type," Lucas added. I patted the boys on the head. I was glad that they had my back.

"Then I want someone else," Keith said while looking at Mike. He put another cheese ball in his mouth while winking at him.

All of the eyes were on Mike now who started to panic. "No, no, no. You're not getting a date with her!"

"Mike. Come on. Just get him the date." Lucas yelled at Mike.

"I'm not prostituting my sister!" Mike yelled back.

"But it's for a good cause!" Lucas argued back.

"No, don't get him the date. Know what? He's gonna spread his nasty-ass rash to your whole family." Dustin said while pointing at Keith.

"Dustin that's a little mean." Dustin pretended like he didn't hear me and he continued to argue with the arcade worker.

I zoned out for a bit when I noticed that Will wasn't near us. "Will?" I called while looking around for him. The boys hadn't noticed that Will and I were gone and they continued their argument. I couldn't find him anywhere in the arcade so I figured that he must be outside. And I was correct.

Will was just standing there, looking at the sky but something felt off. "Will?" I called his name while slowly walking toward him. He didn't seem to notice me so I grabbed his shoulder and I gently shook him. "Will, you okay?"

He gasped before turning around to face me. "Yeah, I just...I needed some air." As he was saying that he turned around to look back at the sky.

"Come inside. You're up on Dig Dug." I said while messing up his hair. He turned around to face me and smiled at me. I returned the smile and we got back inside to play the games.

I was having a dream, well more of a nightmare about the time that we defeated the Demogorgon. I kept having the exact same nightmare for a month now and it was honestly frustrating.

The loud banging coming from outside my bedroom door woke me up. "Y/n! Wake up, you're going to be late for school!" It was my mom. She had lost her job as the waitress in the local pub and she had been waking me up for this past month. It was annoying hearing her loud voice, every day, yelling at me to wake up.
