"Another, Master Diluc!" Screamed a certain bard. After 24 drinks of dandelion wine, he still managed to sing and dance. "No you drunkard. You don't get anything anymore this evening." Said Diluc with an annoyed expression. Venti scoffed and began to sing again. The red haired man turned his attention in front of him and began to clean wine glasses. A nun spoke up. "Who belongs this drink, Master Diluc?" She pointed at the drink on counter beside her. "It's for Kaeya when he comes. It's his favorite. 'Death After Noon'. You should know that Rosaria." Replied Diluc. He then turned around to get a bottle of wine. Rosaria looked at him with a worried face. She knows that Diluc lives in his own little world since the accident. The night was uneventful after the chat. "He didn't come today. Maybe I should ask Jean what happened to him." Mumbled the bartender to himself. Venti and Rosaria already left as well as the other customers. The tavern was empty and was about to close. Diluc drank the drink he made for Kaeya when the front door swung open. "Diluc we need to talk." Said a blond hair woman with sky blue eyes. Diluc looked at her and spoke. "Good evening, Acting Grandmaster. What do I own the pleasure this hour?" Jean had a worried and sad expression on her face. If Rosaria didn't tell her that Diluc forget what happened a few days ago, she wouldn't be here now. "Diluc ... It's about Kaeya. Can you please think why he wasn't here today or the day before?" She looked like she was almost crying. The man with the red eyes thought for a reason and gave his childhood friend an answer. "Well maybe he has a lot of work or he's with Albedo or-" Jean interrupted him. "No! ... Diluc look ... Normally I hate to ruin your positive thinking that he will come back but ... Kaeya will ... I shouldn't be here. He make himself clear. He hates me.' Thought Kaeya. When he turned around to go back, he felt a hand on his shoulder. "What are you doing here?" Said a deep voice who held him. "Oh nothing I wanted to talk to you but I forgot that you hate me and want nothing to do with me. I will take my leave then." The captain wanted to go but the person stopped him again. This time they held his wrist. "No, stay. Talk to me. I'll listen." Kaeya finally turned around and met shining red eyes he always adored so much. He nodded.

He had to tell him. "Luc?" The man in front of him looked at Kaeya. "I have a request." The blue haired captain looked away from his brother. "What is it you want me to do?" Asked Diluc. Kaeya managed to look back at him. "Luc c-can you ... kill me this time ... please?" Diluc looked shocked at his brother. "I don't want to suffer anymore with the entire burden I have tucked in me. You managed to fail four years ago and now you have the chance to do it again." Kaeya pulled a small pocketknife and took his vision from his belt. He laid it in the hands of his older brother. I know this is a selfish request and I would do it on my own but I wanted to die through your hand." Diluc looked at him and then at the knife in his other hand. "I-I don't want to kill you. Why should I murder you? You deserve your life. You have friends, a job you love and a boyfriend you desire. Tell me a better reason to end your life." His little brother looked away from him. He took his eyepatch down and gave the eyepatch to the red haired mess. He finally managed to stare at his brother. "Take care of the things I gave you. I left letters for everyone else. No one will know that you murdered me. I wrote in the letters I killed myself. Please just do it." Kaeya took Diluc's right wrist with the knife and guided him to his own throat. Diluc wanted to resist but hadn't the strength to do so. Kaeya spoke up when the knife was at his neck. "I love you my brother. You were always there for me and I know you cared for me. Thank you for the time with you and father." Kaeya stopped guiding Diluc's hand. "Kae ... Please don't let me do this. I don't want to hurt you." In the red eyes formed tears of sadness. "You'll don't hurt me. I want this. I waited so many years for it. Dying through your hands. This was always a dream from me." Diluc tighten his grip around the knife. He finally broke down in tears. "I-I d-don't want t-to kill y-you!" screamed the older one through tears. "B-but if y-you insist I-I'll do it." Kaeya closed his eyes and waited for the impact. He felt that his neck got slit and arms around him. This was the last feeling he will feel. The lovely arms of his big brother he looked up so much. "I-I love y-you, Kae. May you rest well. W-we meet again. I-in another life." The cavalry captain lost his consciousness. 'I love you too' This words will never left Kaeya again. Diluc hold onto the cold body. He felt his hand burning. When he looked at his left hand where the vision was, he could see the ice blue light vanished. He put the vision and the eyepatch in his pocket and carried Kaeya back to Mondstadt. He managed to go back and got into the cathedral. He screamed for Rosaria and Barbara. They rushed to the main hall and they saw Kaeya's dead body. The deaconess tried to heal the cavalry captain. "It's no use ... He's dead." Stated Diluc emotionless. The red head already cried. He also had blood all over him. Rosaria tried to wash his face with a wet towel. Barbara looked shocked. "Whose blood is this?" Asked Rosaria. Diluc remained silent since his statement. He killed his own brother and he will never recover from this. He will push those thoughts for the future aside and will never think about it again.

Diluc snapped back to reality. He burst into tears. Jean hugged him again. "Tell me ... What happened exactly?" The red haired man nodded. He backed away from the embrace. "Kae d-died ... because h-he as-asked me t-to do i-it." Jean looked at him confused. "I-I was the one who killed him." Screamed Diluc. The blond hair girl couldn't believe him. "No you just feel guilty of what happened to him. You aren't capable of murdering your own brother." Jean looked into his eyes and she could see guilt and sadness. He wasn't lying ... He told the truth.

The next day Diluc went to the headquarters of the knights. "Good morning, Master Diluc." Said a deep voice. The winery owner recognized it. "Grandmaster?" He turned around and he saw a tall man. "Grandmaster Varka ... You're back?" Diluc teared up again. "I have to tell you something. It's about my brother." The grandmaster nodded and put Diluc into a hug. "I know what happened. You don't have to tell me. Just let your tears out." Varka stroke through Diluc's long hair and whispered him some words of comfort.
