After dinner, my parents move to the living room to sit and visit with Dana longer. They seem to really be enjoying each other's company. They open a bottle of wine and I pour two glasses from it, carrying them out to the back patio where Tyler went.
"Hey," I say. "Is everything okay?"
"Oh, yeah, I'm fine," he says, turning around and standing up. "I was just taking a call."
I hand him the glass of Merlot and he thanks me, sitting back down. I join him on the bench and turn to face him, sitting sideways with one of my legs folded.
The sun is setting and there is a slight breeze. It is absolutely beautiful out. I take a drink of my wine and set it on the table in front of us.
"You're cold?" Tyler asks, grabbing the blanket that's folded over the back of the bench, scooting closer, and wrapping the blanket around me.
"Thank you," I smile.
"You're very welcome," he says.
"So, when do you head back to Oregon?" I ask.
"I'll be leaving on Sunday since I have classes on Monday. Tomorrow, I'm going to the Fair with a few of my teammates and then the game is on Saturday, but I'd love to take you out to dinner on Friday if you'd like," he says.
"That sounds nice!" I say. "I'll actually be at the Fair tomorrow, too, so maybe we'll run into each other."
"I hope so," he says.

"Okay, my brain is officially fried," Aria says, slamming her notes onto the table and slumping down in her seat across from me.
"Same," I sigh, taking a drink of my usual iced chai latte. We spent all morning attending our regularly scheduled classes, then had Kiddie Skate, and then we spent yet another couple of hours studying for our Philosophy exam at Pacific Grinders. This test count for twenty five percent of our grade for this course and it wasn't even on the syllabus. I'm seriously so frustrated right now.
Luckily, Aria's grandmother is still part of the picture and helps out with Juliet as much as she can for being seventy-five. She drove her to and from Kiddie Skate today, and she watches Juliet every day while Aria and Bennett attend classes or if they want to take a break to do something fun, like go to the Fair.
"Hey, let's go pregame at my house and then we can head to the Fairgrounds. Enough of this stupid exam," Aria says, standing up and packing her bag.
"Is Bennett okay with me coming over?" I ask.
"I don't care if he is or not," she says. "I'm allowed to have friends over and he needs to take a chill pill."
I nod and follow her to her car. I'm a little nervous about how Bennett will react to seeing me at their house, but Juliet isn't home so I don't see the problem. Not long after, we arrive and I hesitate at the front door.
"Relax, Olivia, Bennett is still at hockey practice," she says, pulling me inside. I let out a sigh of relief.
"Would you prefer vodka or tequila?" she asks, wiggling her eyebrows at me playfully.
