One Night Only(Completed)

"Baby we need to go now we don't wanna be late"

"Okay momma"

"I'll wait for you in the car okay"

My mom left and I heard the door close I got up fixed myself and took my bag.

I was shaking I honestly felt like I was going to pass out, I felt sad what if she hates me?

I got in the car and my mom drove us to the restaurant my dad's favorite restaurant.

She parked and as we walked in my feet moved but I didn't feel them thank goodness I wore flat shoes or I would have missed a step.

We sat down then I ordered water with lemon when it came, I drank it fast.

10 minutes later...

They walked in, and she looked beautiful my baby girl was 16 now and she looked so grown up, as they walked closer my mom squeezed my hand and wiped the lone tear that fell from my eye.

She smiled at me and hugged me and we kind of held on longer I couldn't believe it was finally happening.

In my mom's letter, my dad gave her instructions and told her everything and that's why we were here today I was grateful.

We sat down and as we spoke with her mom she kept looking at me.

She made me nervous...

After a while, my mom and  Mrs. Lauren left giving us space.

She saw how scared I was so she started the conversation.

"I met grandad here every 1st Sunday of the month he would buy me strawberry juice and we would talk so I know why you had to give me away"

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you"

"I know at first I thought you hated me but I understood why and I'm sorry you went through that but I'm glad you didn't ...."

I understood her and started crying these damn hormones make me feel worse.

"Thank you "

I can't believe my dad met her and didn't tell me he felt bad for everything so he fixed our relationship he keeps looking after me even when he's not here anymore.

Thank you, daddy...

"You know grandad named me Joy because he said that's what I brought to my parents they had given up on children after many failed pregnancies I came" I smiled at her as she told me about her life and even shared a few pictures and we exchanged numbers.

We laughed and spoke not once did she shed a tear but I cried so much and even finished her tissues.

I was finally happy, and she promised to visit but I won't stress her about it because I don't want her to feel she needs to choose.

My mom and her mom came back and we spoke a bit more.

"We are moving to Singapore my dad got a job offer he can't refuse he is a technology wizard"

We congratulated them and agreed to keep in touch and she gave me a big hug before walking away.

"Momma, did you know daddy met her?"

She shook her head.

"Only found out from the letters he left"

After finishing my food we left and I felt relieved we took pictures I sent a few to Todd and couldn't wait to get home and tell him all about it.

We got home and my mom dropped me off.

She had to go she's either getting it on with someone or I don't know because she's always gone.
