Mars's Pov-"I don't want you to be weird but do you want to go out for a meal?" I looked up to see him twiddling his fingers nervously as he stared at me blankly. A smile met my lips as I pecked his nose, "sure." He grinned as he grabbed my coat and chucked it at me grabbing his car keys and walking towards the door.
I pulled the sleeves on then pulled my hair out before walking over to him, well I saw walking but I probably looked like a penguin. He smiled at me with his dazzling eyes as we walked out the house him locking the door behind himself.
The winter weather frosted against my skin as a drop of rain landed on my cheek before sliding down. "Come on." He wrapped his hand in mine as he led me to the car, his black usual suit glistening now due to the wetness, I grinned as I opened the car door before he could climbing in and pulling the seatbelt over my chest him doing the same thing.
He placed a hand on the steering wheel as he held my now cold hand in his tightly squeezing it every so often making me smile. I watched the cars go by causing water puddles to float around. Soon enough we pulled up at a diner.
I jumped out the car rushing to the door with Cyrus running behind like a girl as he tried to shield his hair from the rain. He opened the main door for me allowing me to slide in then walked in after a hand on the middle of my back. We walked over to the lady behind this counter like thing who was smiling as us both or mainly Cyrus until her eyes dropped to my stomach.
"Hi, table for two?" She asked to which Cyrus responded with a nod to, she grabbed two menus before leading us to a booth near the window. Music played softly in the background as we slid in facing one another.
"I'm Carly I'll be your server today. I'll be back in a bit for your food but can I order you a drink?" I looked up at the girl named Carly. She was very pretty, blonde hair blue eyes she looked like me but skinny.
I looked like I'd eaten a tone of burgers while laying in bed then decided to eat a few lions for desert. "Two hot chocolates please." I smiled, she nodded at me then walked away to the till to put it in.
I turned to Cyrus but he was still looking at me, "stop that." I looked down at my menu then up for a second to see him now finally looking down at the menu, I released a happy sigh as my eyes scanned the options.
I ended up settling on a chicken nuggets and fries and Cyrus ordered a steak with fries. Basic bitch I know. I've told him this but he keeps shutting it down, too bad he's not a bad bitch like me. After we'd ordered our food we came into silence.
"Marté." I looked up to see him staring down at me with amused eyes, I shoved my hot chocolate away as I leaned back in the red booth. "May I held you?" He chuckled leaning forward and putting his fingers on my lip swiping away my left over whipped cream. I was saving that for later obviously.
"You know, I'd never thought I'd have this life. Not in a million years." He told me randomly, I gave him a curious glance as I leaned forward crossing my arms over one another. "What do you mean?" He chuckled at me before pushing his hair back and shrugging over his blazer jacket.
"You know. Have a girlfriend, a child on the way. It's just-it's all so imaginative. When I was younger if you'd told me I'd have everything I have now, I'd have you. I'd laugh in your face and most likely shoot you in it too." A laughed a little at that because it's true. He would shoot you.
"I'm not a good person Mars and I definitely don't deserve you nor the child your bearing who shares a bit of me. Everything about my life right now is Emmaline's. This was supposed to be her story, have the perfect life, a husband, kids, a family. But she'll never get that and she was the good of us all. So why do I get this and not her?" I didn't know how to answer that question so I didn't.
"I'd never leave you willingly Cyrus, you know that's right?" He nodded his head slowly before repeating my words back to me. Our food soon came and we ate in a comfortable silence. This was us. I preferred this.
