I GRAB my gootium bookbag which was once filled with school supplies but that's now filled with a hardcover of "gone with the wind" and a sketchbook along with some pencils.

I walk through the hallway to the kitchen where my mom and my older sister are packing last minute items that we have been using for the past day or so.

"Donna can you grab that box on the counter and go and put it in the Gilmore's car?" My mom ask while grabbing the ladder to check the high shelf's in the cabinets, probably to make sure we didn't forget anything.

I nod, grab the box and head for the door. My best friend Darcy greets me at the door with a sad smile on her face. Today is the day we will be leaving my home of 14 years (my whole life) We have so many memories here as a family.

FLASHBACK

"Look Don, I'm better that you!" my older brother Diego taunts as he kicks the ball past the crushed tin can we had put down to mark how far little 5 year old me had kicked the soccer ball.

"No you're not I want a rematch" I say with my hands on my hips. Noticing a few rain drops fall on my forehead. It had been raining all week therefore we had been stuck inside, so when the sky finally cleared up we rushed outside to play a bit before it started raining again.

"Fine" Diego says rolling his eyes and retrieving the ball. He puts the ball down in front of me. I kick the ball as hard as I can but unfortunately I had kicked it to hard so that my feet had slipped forward causing my head to hit the wet grass.

My brother  lets out a loud laugh pointing at me. I decided to trick him grab my head wincing in pain.

"Diego help me up" i say putting my out for him to grab he takes my hand as soon as he does i quickly pull him down with me. I laughed as he fall on the grass with a loud thud.

We both started laughing before getting up and continuing playing with the soccer ball.

END OF FLASHBACK

I let out a sigh as I walk through our front yard that has gained a garden and more garden statues since my parents moved in when I was only 9 months old. I smile at all the memories i have on this grass. Who would've known that one small house could have thousands of memories.

My family and the Gilmore's eventually all come out and gather in front of my house. Saying final goodbyes. Tears well up in my eyes as I hug my best friend for the last time.

" I'll miss you so much Don. Don't forget to call." Darcy says as she wipes away tears that have ran down her rose colored cheeks. I give her a small smile as i elope her in a hug. I make my way through the rest of the Gilmore family. We decided to say goodbye before getting in the car so when we get to the airport we don't cause traffic in the drop off zone. We all get in the Gilmore's van. It's always made me wonder why they decided to have a huge car since there is only 3 of them but I guess it did come in handy after all.

I of course sit next to Darcy we talk about how we are going to miss each other and how to call every day, I promise her I'll call her from my aunt's phone and give her my new house number. I'm really gonna miss her, I've known her for 8 years and all of a sudden I'm not gonna see her everyday. All though I'm really excited for this change I know it'll be hard to make new friends and stuff thank God my parents decided to move in summer so that I wouldn't be the new kid in the middle of the year.

We finally arrive in the airport i give Darcy a knowing look. We exchange last goodbyes before we all get out and grab our stuff.

" You won't forget me right?" Darcy says hugging me.

" How could I?" I respond breaking our hug.

" Promise me you'll call everyday." She says. "Everyday" i confirme.

And that was it.
