Intoxicating.

Annihilating.

Ripping through concrete

And steel.

Forestry drowning,

Humans are hounding.

You still need something

To turn the wheel.

Men are lording,

Over women so fragile.

Billionaires are flaunting

The cash that they have.

Humming, vibrating, coursing through wire.

Power in farms, power for hire.

Juicing the earth,

Drinking it dry.

Take it all in

Then leave it behind.

Burn it all up,

Like one single mind.

This world is a bitter place,

Full of love, for feeling hate.

Business men on business trips,

Paid for by their work.

Flock to places so far away,

They can only get there in ships.

Releasing emissions,

Killing our children,

Smothering in gasses and fire.

The world is ablaze,

The richest unfazed,

Maybe we should cut the wire.

The wire of power,

One snip unravels.

The voices louder,

Vibrations do travel.

Power is going out,

Losing connection.

This way out that I see now,

Is-

Humming, vibrating, coursing through wire.

Power in farms, power on fire.

Power is exactly what they said,

Power to those with a gun to your head.

A knife to your throat,

A gun to your ear.

Explosive on a boat,

Frozen in fear.

This world is a bitter place,

Full of love for feeling hate.

Humming, vibrating, stopping in wire.

Power stuck in farms, power on fire.

But who controls the next generation really?

The government?

No.

Historians?

Nearly.

Those who teach,

The ones who preach,

Those who call and shout.

Those that run,

What is fun,

The mouth that lies do spout.

The wire of power,

Lies there unravelled,

Entombed in a carcass of steel.

Concrete surround,

Nailed to the ground,

We need man again to turn the wheel.

Power is gone now.

Anarchy ensures

Looting begins now,

From money to doors.

Walls broken down,

Darkness will follow.

Power may corrupt,

Power may leave you hollow.

But power holds this world together,

Power shall be give forever.

The wire spliced back together,

To stay standing forever.

Power corrupts where power resides,

Power creates a web of lies.

The power to sift through to the truth,

The power to choose to live under a roof.

Spluttering, stalling, crawling through wire,

Power to the farm, power to those-

-that set the fires
