Having the kind of power a king has does feel good. It's a goodness that Saein felt deep inside her core, in her bones, coursing through her blood. Power as she had never known before. Power however weak it may be. Power to change the fate of an entire population with a single word falling from her lips... The lure of power was tempting. It felt electrifying to be so important for once. Even though she was just a puppet for the moment, that fact didn't matter; King Suga may have been a suicidal idiot but she wasn't. She had full faith, she could break the metaphorical strings attached to King Suga, whatever it may be. Lord Jimin's assurance resonated in her mind.

"Our kingdom needs you."

Saein had never had those words spoken to her before. Never had she ever been needed, much less wanted...

She snapped out of her thoughts as she felt cold hands arranging the folds of her shirt and forced her attention back onto the current problem at hand.

Saein stared down at the man in her form helping her adjust her royal attire as Eros fussed with her next outfit by the dressing table. No matter how hard her gaze drilled into his forehead, how long she scrutinized the man in front of her, and how close she stood next to him as he helped her, Yoongi remained unaffected, his gaze purposely trained to the floor. Displeasure and annoyance oozed from his fingers as they buttoned up her doublet with care. It was more than evident to Saein that had Eros not basically forced him to help the King with his preparations, he would have been anywhere but near her.

"So you are avoiding me." Saein breathed down at the man, feline eyes blinking curiously. If Yoongi heard her, he showed no signs that he did. A brief glance to the back told her that Eros was too distracted by the predicament of her outfit to hear her. Saein turned back to Yoongi.

"Are you..." hiding something from me. She held herself back from outright blurting out the question, deciding to be cautious but Yoongi's fingers had frozen.

"You know something," Saein stated slowly. It wasn't a question but Yoongi stilled anyway as if he'd suddenly been reminded of a horrific memory. Shaking his head, he moved away from her to the other maid.

"Hey, Yoongi—"

"Eros, I forgot something that the Head Maid had asked me to do. I'll be right back."

Eros looked up from her duty, "But Cein, His Majesty—"

"I'm done with it." Yoongi cut her off, an edge to his tone that conveyed the end of the discussion. Without wasting another moment, he whirled around and rushed out of the room, leaving Eros flabbergasted at his insolence near the king. Meekly, she raised her eyes to meet Saein's and winced, bowing quickly. "Forgive us, Your Majesty. We never meant any discourteousness..."

Saein waved away the apology with an irritated twitch of her lips. That infuriating man was definitely hiding something and he felt no obligation to share what it was. She wondered why he was being so secretive. Did he find a way to go back? The thought sent chills down her spine. No way... The Dark Lord won't be that heartless, would he? He won't leave her behind and get out of here on his own, would he?

Tendrils of doubt crept up her skin. Saein hadn't known the man for long and it was entirely possible that he was capable of such evils. An irritated sigh breathed past her lips.

I see so that's how you want to play? A wicked glint blinked in her gaze as she watched the place from where Yoongi had vanished long before. Let's play then. I know exactly how to make you talk.

Min Yoongi was never a man who cowered. But recent circumstances were making it difficult for him to hold onto that reputation. For every time he looked up and gazed into his own eyes, the memory of his new discovery would remind him who exactly was behind them, staring back at him. It was enough to trigger his fight-or-flight instinct.
